The family is seeking a warm, calm and patient Educator to provide high-quality education and care for their children, with the primary focus of the role being their 3-year-old between approximately 9am and 3pm.

During the day, the Educator will plan engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support the child’s individual interests, development and wellbeing. The family would love someone who enjoys getting out and about, with opportunities to visit local parks, the library, zoo or farm, spend time outdoors, ride bikes and incorporate these interests into meaningful play and learning.

In the afternoon, the role will include school pickup for the older children, followed by activities, afternoon routines and settling everyone back at home before handover to the family.

The family is looking for an Educator who understands neurodivergence and can provide a calm, inclusive and flexible approach across the household, recognising that each child may have different needs, routines and ways of engaging.

As the family is immunocompromised, excellent hygiene practices and careful attention to health and safety protocols are essential.

Today we’re celebrating Early Childhood Educators’ Day, and the wonderful people who make such a difference in the lives of children and families every single day.

To our incredible In Home Care Educators across Australia, thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings, the long days, the creative activities, the school runs, the stories read for the hundredth time and the snacks prepared only to be declared completely unacceptable five minutes later.

Most importantly, thank you for creating safe, nurturing and meaningful relationships with the children in your care. The patience, flexibility, kindness and genuine care you bring into each family’s home matters more than you may ever realise.

Whether you’re working in the middle of a busy city or hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town, we see you, we appreciate you and we’re incredibly grateful to have you as part of our team.

Happy Early Childhood Educators’ Day!
