⛏️Sovereign Hill Camp is in full swing!
Our Grade 3/4 students have had a fantastic first day and a half, exploring the Red Hill mine, stepping back in time, nine pin bowling, dressing mannequins, watching a confectionery demonstration and trying their hand at gold panning!
Plenty more adventure to come!

🏕️ Sovereign Hill Camp is here! 🏕️

Our Grade 3/4 students and teachers are off on an exciting adventure to Sovereign Hill! 🤠⛏️

We’re looking forward to a few days of stepping back in time, discovering what life was like during the Gold Rush, trying new experiences, making memories and, of course, having lots of fun together!

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers and education support staff for making this experience possible for our students. We hope everyone has an amazing time — we can’t wait to hear all about your adventures when you return! 💛

📚✨ Book Week at Birregurra Primary School! ✨📚

We started the day with our Book Week Parade, and what an amazing celebration it was! Our students impressed us with their creativity, imagination and incredible costumes. It was wonderful to see so many of our favourite books and characters brought to life. 📖🌟
This afternoon, our Grade 6 students continued the celebrations by visiting our Prep/1s to read books they had written especially for their buddies. ❤️📚
A wonderful day celebrating books, reading, creativity and the joy of sharing stories together! 💫

🔬🌿 National Science Week! 🌿🔬
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Family Nature Photo Challenge! 📸 We have loved seeing so many wonderful examples of science happening all around us, from the plants and animals we notice to the changes and patterns in our natural environment.
Our amazing photo display will be used by classes throughout Science Week as a springboard for discussions, questioning and science inquiry. 🔎💡
Thank you for helping us celebrate the curiosity, wonder and science in our environment. 🌏🧪✨

You’re invited to explore the outdoors and share a photo of something interesting in nature. It could be a flower, bird, insect, seed, spider web, fungus or anything else that sparks your curiosity.

🌟 Happy Principals' Day! 🌟

Today we celebrate and thank our amazing Principal, Jess, for the incredible leadership, passion and care she brings to Birregurra Primary School every single day.

Jess leads with kindness, integrity and a genuine commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. Her dedication to our students, staff, families and wider community helps make Birregurra Primary School a welcoming, supportive and inspiring place to learn.

Often the first one to jump on her scooter for Ride2School day, nominate herself for our MND Ice Bucket challenge or lead the Nut Bush during Tuesday Tunes!

We are incredibly grateful for the time and energy she invests in our school and for the positive difference she makes in the lives of so many.

There’s a little extra magic around Birregurra Primary School! ✨🧚
Our new fairy doors have appeared throughout the school grounds, creating magical little spaces for students to discover and enjoy. Paired with the wonderful fairy houses our students created from pots earlier this year, they have brought a new sense of wonder and imagination to our outdoor spaces.
Be sure to keep an eye out next time you’re visiting. You never know where you might spot a fairy’s front door! 🏡🌿

🥧 Pie Order has arrived 🥧

Our pie drive orders have arrived and are ready for collection from the school office any time from now.

Due to food handling guidelines, all orders must be collected by 4:00 pm today. If you are unable to collect your order yourself, please arrange for someone to collect it on your behalf.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser. Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over $1,250.00, which will go directly towards our new playground. 🛝

🎉 What a result! 🎉
We’re excited to celebrate this year’s NAPLAN results, with Birregurra Primary School performing better than similar schools in all 10 out of 10 comparison areas! 🌟
While NAPLAN is just one measure of student learning, it’s an achievement our whole school community can be proud of. These results reflect the dedication of our students, staff and families, and their shared commitment to learning every day. 💙📚

💯 100 Days Brighter! 🌈
Yesterday our Prep students celebrated 100 days of school!
Dressed in bright colours, they enjoyed a day celebrating 100 days of learning, growth, friendships and fun. It’s been wonderful to see how much they have grown in confidence and independence since their very first day.
