Check out our awesome team refreshing their first aid training last night with Certo First Aid Training - RTO 32332.
Here are some first aid facts that might save a life...
1. If a button battery is swallowed, call 000 immediately and give 3 spoons of jam for a child under 1 year old and 3 spoons of honey for a child over 1 year old to help coat the battery and assist with moving it down the esophegus.
2. Download the Emergency Plus App to your phone. You can call 000 from the app and it will give your coordinates within a 3 meter perimeter to the emergency dispatch officer.
3. The beat of The Beegees - Staying Alive is the correct speed and rhythm for chest compressions when performing CPR.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember Them. Lest We Forget. Bay View pays respects to those who have served and are currently serving our beautiful country. With a wreath of little hands from all of our classrooms, we continue to keep the legacy of our ANZACS.

What a busy and exciting month we’ve had at Bay View! The children have had the incredible opportunity to explore not one, but two different lifecycles. They began their journey with Henny Penny hatching, carefully observing as tiny chicks emerged from their eggs.🐣 This was followed by our butterfly experience, where the children watched caterpillars form chrysalises and transform into beautiful blue-banded butterflies.🦋

This hands-on learning has been truly amazing. It has been wonderful to see how curious and knowledgeable the children are about all living things, as well as their growing passion for caring for the environment 🌿
