Here at Bay Cottage Early Learning Centre the children are our first and number one priority.

Everyday we ensure to provide a fun, loving, stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5yrs. All of our staff are passionate and committed individuals, who pride themselves on the quality care and experiences that they bring to the Centre. At Bay Cottage we are a small, four room Centre which allows all of the staff and children to build strong and familiar relationships with one

another. Here we offer great potential for our children to expand their knowledge and to progress with their personal endeavours. Also our Kindergarten Educator is a qualified school teacher to ensure the readiness of the children for school and to ensure that they are successfully meeting all of the Prep requirements. All of our meals are prepared onsite, each day by our qualified Chef who closely follows the Australian Healthy Eating Guidelines. We have designed two, four week rotating menus to suit the differing temperatures of both summer and winter time. We also ensure to cater for children's special and individual dietary requirements. Six out of our thirteen staff are Diploma Qualified and another six are in the process of completing theirs. The Educators also regularly engage in Professional Development experiences to better their own skills and ever-growing knowledge of the children and quality experiences. Some of the children had a wonderful opportunity to experience a visit to the dentist, as National Dental Service Australia came in to provide dental check-ups and help promote healthy teeth and good oral health 🦷🪥

We had a visit from the farm for Ekkua week. and the children absolutely loved it!🐷🦆
They had so much fun seeing all the animals and enjoying the farm experience. Such a lovely day for everyone.

Our little learners loved welcoming some very special visitors from the local Police Service. The children had the opportunity to chat with the officers, ask lots of curious questions, and learn about the important role police play in keeping our community safe.
The highlight of the day? Exploring the police vehicle, climbing into the paddy wagon, trying on the handcuffs (with plenty of giggles!), and getting an up-close look at the equipment police use every day.
These real-world experiences help children build confidence, develop an understanding of community helpers, and create meaningful connections with the people who support and protect us.
A huge thank you to our local police officers for taking the time to inspire, educate, and create such a memorable experience for our children. 💙🚔

🎄❤️ Christmas in July has been all about giving back! ❤️🎄
Our Bay Cottage community has come together to spread a little kindness by collecting donations for the animals at Redlands Animal Shelter. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, we’ve been able to gather a wonderful range of much-needed supplies to help care for animals waiting for their forever homes.
Experiences like these help children develop empathy, compassion, and an understanding that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.
A heartfelt thank you to every family who donated. Your generosity will bring comfort and care to so many furry friends this winter. 🐾💙

Turning waste into wonder! ♻️✨
Our kindergarten children recently enjoyed a creative experience with Reverse Garbage, an organisation that rescues clean, reusable materials and gives them a second life through play and learning.
Using a wonderful collection of reclaimed materials, our children explored, designed, built, and imagined in endless ways. Open-ended experiences like these encourage creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and help children develop an understanding of sustainability by seeing the potential in everyday objects.
A big thank you to Reverse Garbage for inspiring our young learners to create, explore, and care for our environmental one masterpiece at a time! 💚🌏

🦉🐍 Wildlife Unleashed brought the animals to us! Children had the opportunity to get up close with an incredible range of animals, including snakes, lizards, owls and even a crocodile.
Through hands-on experiences, children explored the unique features of each animal, asked thoughtful questions and developed a deeper understanding of wildlife and conservation. It was a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, curiosity and respect for the natural world.

🚑👩‍⚕️ What an exciting experience for our little learners! Children had the opportunity to explore an ambulance, sit on the stretcher, and ask our wonderful paramedics lots of questions. Thank you to our local paramedics for sharing their knowledge and helping us learn about the important role they play in keeping our community safe. 💙

On Friday, the children of all ages explored Anzac Day through storytelling and play. With their teddies dressed as nurses and soldiers, they carefully looked through soldier stories and ration books, building an understanding of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance. 🌺
