๐Ÿพ PUPPY THERAPY FOR OUR STAGE 6 STUDENTS! ๐Ÿพ

With Trial HSC examinations beginning tomorrow, we wanted to give our Stage 6 students something a little special todayโ€ฆand their surprise arrived with boundless energy, wagging tails, and plenty of spots!

Our students enjoyed some puppy therapy, where smiles, laughter, and cuddles were in abundance. For a little while, they could set aside study notes, practice responses, and exam timetables, simply experiencing the joy of the moment. Sometimes, the best preparation is taking a moment to pause, reset, and remember the whole school community is behind you, cheering you on.

At our school, student wellbeing is inseparable from learning. It is at the very heart of what we do. We believe students achieve their best when they feel safe, supported, valued, and genuinely known by those around them. We celebrate their successes, support them through challenges, and truly care about the young people they are becoming.

Todayโ€™s small gesture represents something much bigger: a reminder that there is always a caring community supporting our students.
Our Stage 6 students have worked incredibly hard to reach this point. Today was our way of saying, โ€œWe see your dedication, we are proud of you, and weโ€™re right behind you.โ€

And sometimes, the best preparation for a big week of exams is simply a cuddle with a spotty puppy!

Good luck in your Trials, Stage 6. Take a deep breath, trust your knowledge, and give it your best. Youโ€™ve got this!

Investigating Erosion ๐ŸŒฑ

As part of Science Week, our Year 5 students put their recent learning into action with an erosion investigation. Having been learning about weathering, erosion and the ways Earth's surface changes, students explored what happens when water flows over soil. They then became engineers, designing and testing their own ways to reduce erosion and protect the land.
Students observed the changes to their mini landscapes, compared the results and used their scientific understanding to explain why some designs were more effective than others. It was a hands-on way to bring our classroom learning to life!

At this morning's assembly, we recognised students for their commitment to the GRIT dispositions - resilience, creativity, self-motivation, reflection and engagement. The presentation of Silver and Gold awards demonstrates the achievements of our K-12 students across all school-based activities.

We also had a large number of students presented with letters of acknowledgement from Mr Brendan Moylan MP for their achievements on the sporting field.

Thank you to our families that were able to join us and congratulations to all student on their efforts so far this term.

Primary Touch Gala Day

Stage 2 and 3 students had a great day at the Inverell Touch Football Gala Day, yesterday. This non-competitive day was a great opportunity to develop new skills, have a fun time with friends and work together as a team. All reports are that a fabulous day was had by all. Thank you to Mrs Stones, Mr McEwan, Ms Mead and Miss Mandy for their support and guidance throughout the day.

Bullying โ€“ No Way!

As part of Bullying No Way Week, Year 1 explored the 2026 theme, โ€œSmall Acts, Big Impact.โ€ Students decorated and cut out hearts representing the special and unique things about themselves. While listening to Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes, they scrunched their hearts whenever they heard unkind words and tried to smooth them out when kind words were spoken. The remaining wrinkles showed how hurtful words can leave a lasting impact and reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.
