The annual boarders Christmas dinner was celebrated last Wednesday. There was delicious food, a Christmas song sung by boarding staff and a visit by the big guy in red 🎅🏽 🎄

On 21st November we celebrated our Awards and Presetstion for students.

We are so proud of all of our students and as Fr Rueben said during his homily “you may not receive an award today for being the top of your class, but you are all receiving the award for finishing the year and the huge achievement of being here and learning all that you do each day”.

Thank you to all of our students, their families, special guests and staff who attended this celebration.

🖤❤️🤍LEAVERS 2024 ❤️🖤🤍
The announcement was made in September that Edmund Rice College Bindoon, would need to pause operations from 2025 to allow time to consider how to best meet the needs of our young people. It was not a decision that was made lightly by the EREA Colleges Board and followed a significant period of reflection. It now meant that Year 7 through to Year 12 were all leavers of the college, and they were given a leavers jacket - something usually saved for our Year 12s. All students have been proudly wearing their jackets and holding their heads high, as part of the leaving class of 2024… We decided to focus on celebrating all of the joys that are shared each day, being apart of this amazing college. With heavy hearts, we get ready for the end of the year together and look forward with hope to all the new adventures ahead.

Our amazing Yr 10 and 11 girls finished the gravel edges on the labyrinth and EREA Touchstone totems.

Edmund Rice College strives to offer a Liberating Education based on a Gospel Spirituality within an Inclusive Community committed to Justice and Solidarity.

We hope to always follow in the Edmund Roce tradition and find guidance and direction from each of these touchstones.

First weekend back and our students are straight into the Kirby Bentley Cup and Nicky Winmar Carnival. Girls played their hardest, missing out on a spot in the GF, all were exhausted but happy! Boys have currently won 3 games and are playing in the GF! Update coming soon 🤩
Update - excellent effort by the boys but they missed out on a finals win by a few goals!! Super proud of all our students 🎉🎉🎉

Edmund Rice College Bindoon marked R U OK? Day with a student-led assembly emphasizing the importance of supporting peers and communities 🤝. The event included insightful discussions on mental health, followed by a delicious morning tea and lunch ☕🍽️, fostering a caring and connected campus environment.

As I reflect on the past five months as Principal of Edmund Rice College - Bindoon, I am filled with gratitude for this remarkable journey.

It has been a period of significant growth and learning, deeply rooted in the traditions and values of our college.

Thank you to our dedicated staff, students, and supportive community for making this experience so rewarding. Together, we continue to uphold the four touchstones of our mission: liberating education, gospel spirituality, inclusive community, and justice & solidarity.

I look forward to what we will achieve together as we move forward. Thank you for your unwavering support.

Reflecting on my past five months as Principal of Edmund Rice College - Bindoon, I am struck by the profound journey it has been.

Each day has presented new opportunities to uphold and enhance these values, contributing to a vibrant and supportive environment for all.
