👩‍🌾Garden and Poultry Club:

Today we had one very keen little helper , Miss Ella, she never misses a chance to get stuck into garden club. She truly has a green thumb 💚She wandered around with Mrs Costa, happily watering the garden and giggling at the chickens like it was the best part of her day. Oh, and she crunched on one of our broad beans & said “yum” straight away.

Our new automatic coop door has arrived 👏 which is a fantastic addition for our chickens.

However, we need some help to get it installed, so we’re reaching out to see if anyone in our community who is handy could assist us please.

If you are able to help, or know someone who can, please let the office know as soon as possible—thank you for considering! ⚒️🐓🐤

Throwback Tuesday 🌳 THEN & NOW 🍏

We're delighted to share the story of Phoebe Parsonson, whose journey with Bilpin Public School began back in 1997 when she started Kindergarten. Phoebe has wonderful memories from her time as a student, including an excursion to the Para Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and cheering for the Kangas at the annual athletics carnival.

Phoebe returned to live in Bilpin in 2018, completed her Masters of Primary Teaching by the end of 2019, and has since worked many times at Bilpin Public School. It’s been incredibly special for Phoebe to teach in the same classrooms she once learnt in, and to work alongside teachers who inspired her as a student.

We’re also thrilled that Phoebe’s son now attends Bilpin PS, continuing the family connection. Phoebe’s story is a testament to the lasting impact of our school community!

🌟 Student of the Week: Liliana 🌟

We are so proud to celebrate Liliana this week for her outstanding behaviour both in the classroom and during excursions. Her resilience and positive attitude truly shine through in everything she does. Liliana’s school spirit is infectious, and she brings so much joy and energy to our school community.

Bilpin is incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful student like Liliana. Well done, Liliana – keep up the amazing work! 💛🌞🌟🌻

Today we were lucky enough to have visitors from the Sydney Japanese Consulate at school. We learned all about traditional Japanese toys, kimono and even got to practise some calligraphy. Thank you to Mrs McCloy for being a fantastic kimono model!

Thank you Mrs A for finding this wonderful opportunity for our students 🇯🇵🎌🎏🎎

Our Garden and Poultry Club were little legends today! They teamed up to haul mulch into the chicken coop — which is now so close to being finished. They also carried tray after tray of soil to fill up our giant water‑tank garden beds, ready for our citrus trees to grow big and juicy.

Now it’s time to give those plants lots of love so they can reward us with fruit. The whole garden is looking gorgeous thanks to our awesome helpers.

And don’t forget — we’ve got our rooster, Pengi, strutting around like he owns the place. Roosters have an important job keeping the hens laying, especially in spring. So remind your little ones: if we treat Pengi kindly, he’ll treat us kindly. He’s part of the team too!🍋🍊🐔🪻🌞

Thank you, Mrs Costa, for your dedication and hard work in making our Garden and Poultry Club so successful. We truly appreciate your passion, guidance, and care—you’ve been an amazing inspiration to us all. 💛
