Olivia experienced an amazing placement at Narrabri. She spent most of her placement working in the Transitional Aged Care Program, but was also fortunate to gain experience in the hospital wards, paediatric clinic, palliative care services, and a nearby Multi-Purpose Service.
Olivia's placement coincided with harvest season, giving her a unique glimpse into the region’s agricultural side. Outside of placement, she enjoyed exploring the local area, including a visit to Sawn Rocks, and seeing plenty of animals along the way, including kangaroos, horses, lizards, and guinea fowl.
Well done Olivia and thanks for sharing your experience.

Whilst learning many important OT skills they had the fantastic opportunity to be immersed into local rituals and customs. Thanks to KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research for providing this amazing experience for our students.

Abbie and Lilian had a great time at Weipa completing their OT placement. They also had time to check out many local sites! They’ve had a trip to the tip, helped run a teddy bear hospital and picked mangos.
