Our Kindy students were delighted to welcome Sass the Scientist from the ECOHUB in Melville.

It was fantastic to see our young scientists asking questions, making connections, and developing a greater appreciation for the amazing wildlife that lives alongside us.

🔬🧪 What an exciting start to Science Week at Bicton Primary School! 🧪🔬

Today, our students were amazed and entertained by a visit from the Silly Scientist, who inspired curiosity, wonder and lots of laughter through hands-on science fun.

The excitement continues in our Science Room, where students can explore a range of engaging, interactive activities designed to encourage investigation, discovery and creative thinking.

We can't wait to see what the rest of Science Week brings! 🌟

Our school proudly opened NAIDOC Week with a traditional smoking ceremony led by respected Elder Mr Neville Collard. In Aboriginal culture, walking through the smoke is a symbolic act of cleansing—purifying the body and spirit, clearing away negative energy, and offering protection.

Before the ceremony, Mr Collard shared stories from Country and spent time answering students’ questions. His knowledge and generosity helped deepen our understanding of culture and connection to land.

A powerful way to begin our NAIDOC Week celebrations.

The Traffic Warden who works at the Children’s Crossing on Preston Point Road, near Harris Street is unable to work Friday afternoon, 19th June.
Unfortunately, they have no relief staff available to cover the position.
