The International Day of Play is a time to celebrate the power of play. It’s a time to raise awareness about how central play is to every child’s development and well-being. The theme for this year’s International Day of Play is “Protect play, protect childhood”. The theme is a reminder for all of us that happy and healthy childhoods are built on play.

Even with all the rain this week, Mrs Piper’s class was set up with fantastic play opportunities. 💙💛

Bicton Primary School shines bright with Platinum Accreditation in the Your Move Schools program - a true champion!

Our students are now walking, wheeling, or riding to school in greater numbers, fostering a healthier and more sustainable community.

The dedication and perseverance invested in the program have paid off with exciting rewards, including a successful grant that brought brand new bike racks to our school. These racks are a huge hit among our students, and we're deeply grateful for the tireless efforts that made this achievement possible.

Congratulations to our Bicton netball players on their remarkable achievement, as well as embodying our core values of Resilience, Responsibility, Respect, and Aspiration at the Singapore Netball Academy carnival ⭐️.

The Bicton U11s team was crowned Champions in their age group.🏆✨⭐️

What a special day we had celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime! 📚✨

Our ECE students enjoyed a magical morning in the library with Mrs Forzatti, who had everyone excited as she counted us down to begin the story together. Meanwhile, Mrs Williams was kicking goals in the school hall with our Year 1 and 2 students, while our Year 3, 4 and 5 students joined the celebration from their classrooms. ⚽📖

Our Year 6 students were also busy representing our school at interschool soccer — what a fantastic day all around!

There was such a wonderful buzz across the whole school as Luna Roo became a very special part of our celebrations. 🦘💛

Thanks to your hard work, support, and care.

You roll up your sleeves for each busy bee,
Making our school the best it can be!

You sweep, scrub, tidy, plant, and mow,
Helping our outdoor learning spaces grow.

Then somehow you still find time to prepare
Discos and colour foam fun beyond compare!

With dancing, laughter, music, and cheer,
You help create memories year after year.
