TECHFEST RETURNS!!!
TechFest is our school’s annual film competition!
This year all films will be required to include a STHS Sock* somewhere in the film.
We’ve additionally come up with a theme “The Beginning” for those who don’t know where to start. Students may choose to or choose not to use this theme.
The film can take any form from mini movies to vlogs!
Films must not exceed 6 mins.
All films must be made by STHS students specifically for this competition.
Entries will be collected in August 2022. More details about submissions will be released closer to the deadline.

*Can be either the short or long one. The sock does not have to play an active role in the film. (This is a Tech tradition, previous years have included a book and a STHS tie).

Meet the 2022 Prefects (12/12)
Introducing Rian Surti
Captain of Tech!
As School Captain, Rian represents the school at all major school and intra-school events, and he superintends important decision making alongside the school executive🤩 Although he isn’t involved in planning school events directly, Rian is in charge of relaying information appropriately between the student body, staff and the school executive to ensure clear communication and effective ex*****on of duties😛
In his spare time you’ll find Rian playing hockey 🏑 or taking good care of his dog 🐕
FUN FACT: Rian microwaves his mi goreng instant noodles. Because it is 100% valid.

Introducing Ali Mourad
Vice Captain of Tech!
As Vice Captain, Ali is largely in charge of delegating roles and responsibilities among the SRC and keeps in touch with the SRC coordinators, school executives, deputies and the principal🤩 He represents Tech at all major events both in and out of school and closely liaised with the School Captain in all important dealings😎
In his spare time, Ali hangs out and plays football with his mates. At school you will find him at the silver benches above the cage or the grass area below playing soccer with his mates ⚽️
FUN FACT: Ali’s cuts are always fresher than Jordan’s

Introducing Shintaro Seino
Senior Prefect of Tech!
As Events Supervisor, Shintaro superintends the operations of all major SRC events including SRC Week, the annual school dance (cancelled for 2022), Talent Quest etc. He also coordinates the media side of things/promotional material for various school events.
In his spare time, Shintaro procrastinates and wastes his time watching movies/TV shows. At school you will find him at the silver benches above the cage or running around the school doing interviews for Humans of Sydney Tech.
FUN FACT: Shintaro can bend his fingers back all the way.

Introducing A***n Chauhan
Senior Prefect of Tech!
As Sports Captain, A***n plays a huge role in the organisation of school sporting events including (but not limited to😉) the swimming carnival, cross country, athletics carnival and other teacher vs student events🤩 A***n has an important duty in encouraging student involvement in all sporting events and he works closely alongside house captains🏆And let’s not forget his weekly sports reports at assembly😜

Senior Prefect of Tech!
As Treasurer, Jordan is responsible for the organisation of funds produced at SRC events, as well as the delegation of roles towards more junior members of the SRC team🤑

Introducing Dean Tripathi
Senior Prefect of Tech!
As the Committees Manager Prefect, Dean superintends all year committees and liaises with the student body, committee leaders and school executives and staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.
In his spare time, Dean loves to play cricket 🏏 and bake amazing foods! 😋 At school you will find Dean busy at work in the library ready to ace all his subjects 📚 or up near the silver benches next to the courts.
Fun Fact: I once recited the first 523 digits of pi! 🥧

Introducing Neil Dadhich
Clubs Prefect of Tech!
As the Clubs Prefect, Neil oversees the entire clubs system. He supports the establishment of new clubs and helps them maintain their operations. He also assists clubs organise events and assists clubs with advertisements.
In his spare time, Neil loves to play a game of chess or help his team DropBears compete in Robot Comps. At school you will find him playing basketball with his friends down at the bottom cage or at the library preparing to Ace his exams.

Introducing Adithya Agilan
Wellbeing Prefect of Tech!
As the Wellbeing Prefect, Adithya is the go-to leader if you are in need of wellbeing support from a fellow student. He is also responsible creating a warm and positive environment and working with the Student Support Officer.
In his spare time, Adithya loves to play the piano, cook and play basketball with his friends. At school you will find him
