It is Term 4 already!
I am sure many wonder how the year is passing by so quickly. It is only 10 weeks to end of the school year.
At this moment, most students wish to end the year on their best marks. For the students commencing Year 12, you look forward to starting your new endeavor on good grounds. The best part for all students, it is clearly the best time to be able to do your best and for many good reasons.
First, for students up to year 11, you will be surprised that you have just completed your revisions and done your exams just before you went on your school holidays. This means you have revised your entire year's work and in best position to identify those areas that need that little extra work to improve your marks. In fact, it is never a better time to iron out those bugs and master the skills for success. It only gets easier to get the top marks from now on if students and parents are committed to that little extra work to finish the year in best possible position.
For students commencing Year 12. Wow! you have done the whole 11 years of school learning, studied many subjects, learnt many skills, and you are looking forward to defining your chosen careers. So why this is an important time to improve? it is easy to realise you have completed Year 11 which is a preparation for this year and upcoming HSC. The topics you covered in Year 11 are the foundation for Year 12. You need to be sure you have mastered those topics and identified you strengths and weaknesses, and have plotted a learning path to success.
In fact, for Year 11 starting your Year 12 is in top position to reflect on you recent exam results, do your quick revisions, then focus on your accelerated learning skills. From now on, it is all full speed ahead. It is the time to make sure you fully understand your mathematical concepts and be able to solve a question regardless how it has been put to you. You should be able to write beautifully and be able to build compelling essays that pleases the imagination.
It is amazing how the human mind adjust to varying work loads. When we are faced with a new job, a new school year, or a new challenge, our minds switch to hyper mode. Your brain cells glow with energy. You can feel the power of the energised neurons. You can't easily fall asleep after a challenging mental workout. Good results bring the best feeling of satisfaction.
The power of the mind is limitless. If you can imagine it then it is possible and can be done, no matter how far-fetched a challenge is. It is always a new beginning and now it is an important one.
Best wishes to all.
