Wow! Last week was a HUGE week of visitors and exciting surprises at BPS!
On Monday, we welcomed Shelley and Teddy Bear Phil from GWM, who delivered a talk on the urban water cycle as part of Mrs Thompsonβs science unit. Students learned all about where our town water comes from, took part in filtering experiments and discovered what not to flush down the toilet! To top it off, Shelley and Phil kindly gifted students some new blue buckets, perfect timing with all the water play happening at school right now!
Then Friday morning rolled around..β¦ ! The excitement was next level as a trailer load of shiny new bikes, scooters, helmets and Beulah's first set of traffic lights rolled into the school, generously gifted by Rural Northwest Health as part of our partnership to promote healthy communities.
As you could imagine, the kids could hardly contain themselves as they checked out the new gear! Lot's of comparing to bikes at home!
Zoe from RNH didnβt make the kids wait and got them straight into bike education sessions.
We are so grateful at BPS! A huge thank you to GWM and Rural Northwest Health for thinking of and supporting our small school. The students are absolutely loving the new additions!
