⛏️ Year 5 Sharecase - Journey to the Gold Rush! ⛏️
Yesterday's Year 5 Sharecase brought history to life as students immersed their families in the world of the Victorian Gold Rush and the events leading up to the Eureka Stockade.
Everyone received a mining licence on arrival before exploring impressive Minecraft mining towns, built by students in teams and complete with everything needed for life on the goldfields. Students then stepped into the role of historians and advocates, speaking about the unfair treatment miners experienced and worked together to strengthen persuasive arguments for change.
The afternoon was a fantastic celebration of creativity, collaboration and learning, and a wonderful opportunity for students to proudly share their hard work with their families.

What material makes the best lunchbox insulator? 🧊🔬
That was the challenge our Year 3 students set out to solve as part of their Problem-Based Learning unit on thermal insulation. Students designed and built their own ThermoPods, testing different materials to discover which would keep an ice cube cold for the longest time.
Yesterday's Learning Sharecase gave students the opportunity to share their investigations, designs and discoveries with family and friends. It was fantastic to see their creativity, scientific thinking and enthusiasm on display! Well done, Year 3! 👏❄️🧊
