📚✨ What a fabulous way to wrap up Book Week! ✨📚

Today our school was filled with some very familiar (and wonderfully creative!) faces as we celebrated with our Book Character Parade! From much-loved classics to newer favourites, it was fantastic to see our students bring the characters from their books to life. ❤️📖

This year’s theme, ‘A Symphony of Stories’, has certainly been embraced throughout the week as we’ve explored new stories, shared favourites and celebrated the joy that comes from getting lost in a great book.

A huge thank you to our families for helping with costumes — the creativity and effort was amazing! And, of course, congratulations to all of our students who proudly strutted their stuff in today’s parade. 🌟

What a wonderful week of celebrating books, imagination and the magic of reading! 📚🥰

The Book Week festivities continued today despite the rainy weather! Teams were challenged to find an assortment of things in books to complete their Book Scavenger Hunt… an emotion ✅ a monster ✅ an Australian animal ✅ an iceberg… turned out to be far more tricky (and saw Mrs Saunders sneaking off to the library to find one to plant somewhere!) Well done to all of the teams who showed great sportsmanship, empathy, excitement and enjoyment… always a wonderful tradition ❤️📚

Wow! Less than 3 weeks away from our Art Show… have you bought your tickets for opening night? FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER Tickets are available from School or the Post Office, it’s always a fabulously social, 18+ event. Check out some of the AMAZING art work on offer this year! Just a little taste! Some will only be available at the opening night auction with all other items exhibited and for sale 10am-2pm Saturday 12th September (although hot tip… 80% of exhibited pieces sell on opening night…don’t miss out on the piece you are eyeing off… grab your ticket now!)

A lovely morning kicking off Book Week at Bethanga (the official week is next week but clashes with State School Spectacular). Books & Breakfast was well supported by families and students… thank you for coming along and spending the morning with us ❤️📚🥣

What a spectacular day we had in the sunshine today for our athletics! All of our students hopped, skipped, jumped, ran and threw as far and as fast as they could. We are so proud of each and every one of them and the effort they put into each event.

💡🔌 NO POWER? NO PROBLEM! 🔌💡

With a planned No Power Day at school today, we decided there was only one sensible strategy for keeping warm… wear our PJs to school! 🥰

Our classrooms were filled with snuggly Oodies, cosy slippers, fluffy dressing gowns and plenty of comfy PJs as students and staff embraced the chance to stay warm while having a bit of fun at the same time!

Even better, our PJ Day doubled as a fundraiser, with money raised going towards supporting the work of our Student Voice Leadership Groups. ❤️

A little bit of creativity, a whole lot of cosiness, and another reminder that even without power, there’s never a shortage of energy at Bethanga Primary! ⚡️😂

Well our last Regional Rehearsal for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular truly was spectacular today! There were Pom poms, sequins and scarves as students did a full costume rehearsal… and smashed it! They did such an amazing job and are getting super excited to hit the Arena in a month! Today we want to take a moment to recognise and celebrate our wonderful Principal, Mrs Saunders.

Mrs Saunders leads our school with kindness, compassion and an unwavering passion for creating the very best environment for our students, staff and families. Her genuine care for every member of our school community shines through in everything she does, and her dedication never goes unnoticed.

She inspires us with her positivity, supports us through every challenge, and celebrates every success—big or small. Her commitment to our school is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a caring and dedicated leader guiding us.

Thank you, Mrs Saunders, for everything you do each and every day. Your hard work, encouragement and belief in our school make it a very special place to learn, grow and belong. We are so lucky to have you! 💙
