HPAF Recap!
What an incredible night at the House Performing Arts Festival on Tuesday 11 August!
Congratulations to every student involved in bringing this event to life, from our HPAF captains and section leaders to the actors, instrumentalists, and dancers who lit up the stage. Well done also to our script writers, prop makers, and backstage, AV, and lighting crews, whose work behind the scenes made the performances shine.
A special mention to Pegasus House, our night winner. That said, judging by the outstanding performances we saw from every house, it truly felt like everyone was a winner on the night.
Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who made HPAF such a memorable event.

2026 Principals' Day
As we celebrate Principals' Day on Friday 7 August, Nossal High School takes a moment to recognise and thank the outstanding leaders who guide our school community every day.
Our Principal, Ms Tracey Mackin, leads the school with vision, warmth and knowledge, always keeping students and staff at the heart of every decision.
Alongside her, Assistant Principal Ms Ffion Bowles brings clarity and vision to curriculum and pedagogy, strengthening teaching and learning while genuinely valuing the staff who deliver it.
Assistant Principal Ms Fiona de Zylva brings kindness and care to the wellbeing of students and staff alike, supporting our whole school community at every level.
We are truly fortunate to have such a committed and inspiring leadership team at the helm, and we thank each of them sincerely for everything they do.

This morning, Principal Ms. Mackin welcomed a fully booked group to Nossal High School for a school tour. She spoke about the select entry program, and the kind of education students could expect at Nossal. Ms. Mackin also introduced visitors to the Five Minds for the Future, a framework developed by Harvard University psychologist Howard Gardner that underpins Nossal's approach to learning. She explained how the disciplined mind, the synthesising mind, the creative mind, the respectful mind and the ethical mind guide students to think analytically and approach their studies from new perspectives.
School tours are generally conducted on Tuesday mornings. Families are welcome to book a place at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1205762.
