It was wonderful to welcome back so many Old Girls/ Old Boys to our recent Year 11 Careers Networking event. Past students shared breakfast, conversation, and best practise on developing a professional network. We had graduates from a wide variety of occupations speak of their career journeys to date, answer questions and offer advice. Special thanks to the Old Girls/ Old Boys association for sponsoring the breakfast.
Would you like to be involved?? The careers team would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in interviewing students for mock interviews, future careers breakfasts, hosting a student for work experience or being a part of an industry snapshot! Please contact our careers practitioners Jodie or Michelle via email at [email protected]

The Careers Team were thrilled to welcome back a collection of recent St Margaret’s Berwick Grammar graduates to our Year 12 VTAC Ready Set Go morning. As a school community we are so very grateful to the 14 Old Girls/ Old Boys who participated by being a panellist, running speciality workshops and in answering questions across a wide variety of areas- elite sport, medicine, design, engineering, education, music, mechanical apprenticeships, science, criminology, and commerce. The Old Girls/ Old Boys in attendance (and those who presented online from around Australia) shared important steps they took when in year 12 to help set up their future success. They shared course application strategies, career highlights, challenges they faced when starting in a new environment and tips for developing industry connections.
A sincere thank you to all our past students who joined us on the day and gave of their time -we really appreciate it!

Last year our old girl, Kat Berecic was diagnosed with a very rare cancer. Requiring 3 major surgeries, 2 doses of HIPEC and 20 rounds of chemotherapy, the treatments haven’t been as effective as all had hoped. As the cancer is continuing to grow, with limited options available in Australia, Kat needs to travel overseas for further treatments. At a very high cost in the hundreds of thousands, Kat and her family cannot do it alone. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All
We are hosting a wonderful Careers Breakfast for our Year 11 Students and Parents on Thursday 8th September. We would love to include some of our Old Girls and Old Boys to sit on tables with the students and think this will be a great opportunity for them to be able to ask questions about your chosen paths.
Our Year 11’s have shown interest in health and sport industry, animals/wildlife, environment, commerce, design, theatre, fashion, engineering and would also be great if we had some entrepreneurs!
If this would be of interest to you please contact Me (Melissa) and I will put you in touch with the school to organise.
