Day 4 of National Science Week!
Today we’re sharing one of our all-time favourites... VOLCANOES!
And let’s be honest, volcanoes are always a crowd pleaser!
Our students had so much fun watching their volcanoes bubble, fizz and erupt. There were plenty of excited faces as the eruptions came to life!
We love making science hands-on, exciting and a little bit messy!
Stay tuned for our final day of National Science Week fun!

Day 3 of National Science Week is here!
Our science fun has continued and today it was time for a dance!
Today’s experiment was Dancing Milk!
Our students watched in amazement as the colours in the milk started swirling, moving and dancing around the plate. Who knew a little milk, food colouring and science could put on such a colourful show!
We’re having so much fun discovering that science is everywhere!

Wanting a fun, low-cost activity for your little ones at home?
Yesterday Benjamin and I had so much fun sitting down with a Coles catalogue, cutting out pictures and creating our own masterpiece. It was simple, engaging and kept little hands busy for ages!
Want to extend the learning?
⭐ Ask your child to cut out their favourite item from each page.
⭐ Give them a number to find and cut out.
⭐ Challenge them to find a specific price.
⭐ Sort pictures into categories such as food, toys or colours.
⭐ Create a collage based on a theme.
Activities like this help develop fine motor skills, scissor skills, number recognition and vocabulary, all while having fun.
The only downside? Be prepared for a little paper confetti around the house! Good thing we were are Nana and Grandpa's house.
Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles.

Fine Motor Fun!
Our little learners have been having lots of fun strengthening those important fine motor skills!
From pegs and Play-Doh to stickers and hole punching, we are building hand strength, coordination and those little finger muscles needed for writing.
Learning through play makes the hard work feel like fun!

Ooshies have officially entered our house... and there's no turning back!
Benjamin discovered Ooshies last week and he's completely obsessed. Every single day I'm asked, "Are we going to Woolies to get more Mooshies (as he calls them)?"
Super cute for him... not so cute for the poor bank account!
While we've been home sick, we've turned his beloved "Mooshies" into learning activities. It's amazing how a favourite toy can become a powerful learning tool!
✨ Our two favourite games so far:
🎲 Number Roll & Open
Number each packet, roll a dice, then open the packet with the matching number. Great for number recognition, counting and turn taking.
🐧 Who Has More?
Take turns rolling the dice and count out that many Ooshies. Keep playing until they're all gone, then compare your collections. Who has more? Who has fewer? It's a fun way to practice counting, comparing numbers and using maths language.
Learning doesn't always have to come from worksheets. Sometimes it comes from a little packet of "Mooshies"... even if they are emptying Mum's wallet one trip to Woolies at a time! 😂💜
