FROM THEIR FIRST WOBBLY STEPS TO CENTRE STAGE // 🌸🎉

There's something that happens when a teacher gets to watch a dancer grow up. They notice the little things. The first time a toddler holds a pose a second longer. The nerves before a first solo. The moment a routine finally clicks after weeks of practice.

That's what this is about. Not just classes, not just concerts, but teachers who are actually paying attention the whole way through.

And when the curtain closes, the celebration isn't just for show. Flowers, hugs, gifts, because every dancer in that lineup, from the tiniest beginner to the teens who've been here for years, deserves to be seen for how far they've come.

5 WAYS TO CELEBRATE YOUR DANCER // 🌸🌟

Your dancer worked so hard for this moment.

Here's how to make it one they'll always remember.

💐 Bring someone they love. Seeing parents, grandparents and siblings in the audience makes the performance feel important.

🎁 Give them a concert gift. A small surprise after the performance gives them something to connect with the day.

🌷 Pre-order flowers. Flowers create a clear celebration moment as soon as your dancer finishes.

🍦 Plan something afterwards. Dinner, dessert or takeaway together helps the celebration continue after the concert ends.

💬 Tell them exactly what you noticed. Mention their confidence, expression, teamwork or improvement.

The size of the celebration does not matter.

What matters is that your dancer knows you noticed.

GETTING READY FOR DANCE HITS DIFFERENT WHEN YOU’RE THIS EXCITED // 💙🕺

Sent in by one of our BPA parents and we couldn’t not share it.

That whole pre-class routine of getting dressed, hair sorted and dance shoes on is such a familiar scene for so many of our families. And when you’re this excited to get to class, even getting ready becomes part of the fun.

You can just see how much he loves it. That anticipation before class, knowing he’s about to walk through the doors and do something he genuinely looks forward to each week.

These are the little moments around dance that we love just as much as the dancing itself.

READY SET DANCERS BRING YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK TO DANCE // 📚✨💜

It's Book Week at BPA Dance Studio and we're bringing story time into the studio.

Come dressed as your favourite book character and bring a book to share with your class. We'll enjoy a little story time before we dance, because reading and imagination deserve a spot in the studio too.

22 to 28 August 2026. Can't wait to see who shows up!

The best pre-dance routine 🥹 Hair done, outfit on, a little jump to make sure everything feels right, and she’s ready to go.

There’s something so sweet about watching them take getting ready this seriously at such a young age. Off to BPA Dance we go 🤍

THE BEST PART OF THIS JOB // 🩰💛

Bunny ears, disco lights, pajama parties, and dress rehearsals under the big stage lights. It all blurs together when we look back on it.

Our teachers show up for the wiggly toddlers just as much as the dancers hitting their first big lift on stage. They are also performing on stage beside everyone. Because the choreography fades, but the way someone made you feel never does.

BOOK WEEK AT BPA // 📚✨

Dress up week is coming and we cannot wait to see what our little storytellers create. From the 22nd to the 28th of August, we're celebrating everything about reading, imagination and creativity in the studio.

Here's how it works, your dancer picks a favourite book character to dress as (a magical princess, a brave superhero, a cheeky animal or a storybook favourite, anything goes), and we'll kick off class with a short story before we get moving. You're also welcome to bring a book from home to share with the class.

Book Week is one of our favourite weeks of the year. It's a beautiful reminder that stories spark imagination just as much as dance does, and we love watching that magic come to life in the studio.

DANCE BESTIES FOR LIFE // 🩰💕

This one melted our hearts. These two are dance besties through and through, and this sweet submission landed them second place in our competition!

These two do Ready Set Dance together, and watching their friendship grow alongside their confidence on the dance floor is exactly why we do this. Besties who dance together, stay together.

Huge thank you to their parents for sharing this with us. It's cute, it's fun, and it's such a beautiful reminder of what these little friendships mean.
