πŸ“šβœ¨ Book Week Parade & Book Swap! βœ¨πŸ“š

This morning, our Berridale PS students had the opportunity to share their love of books by dressing as their favourite characters for our Book Week Parade! πŸ“–πŸŒŸ

So much creativity, imagination and fun was on display as our students brought their favourite stories and characters to life. It was wonderful to see the excitement and joy that books can inspire. β€οΈπŸ“š

We also enjoyed a fantastic Book Swap, giving students the opportunity to share and discover new stories and books.

A huge thank you to Mrs Bottom and all of her senior helpers for putting together such a great morning. We also extend our thanks to all of our parents and families for supporting this wonderful event and helping make it such a success.

What a wonderful way to celebrate our love of books and reading! πŸ“šπŸ’«

πŸ”ŽπŸΊ Becoming Archaeologists for the Day! πŸΊπŸ”Ž

Yesterday, our 1/2/3 class discovered what archaeology is all about as they took part in their very own archaeological dig! πŸͺ¨πŸ”

Our budding archaeologists carefully searched through the dig site and uncovered all kinds of interesting artefacts, making history come alive through hands-on learning.

A huge thank you to Mrs Bottom for creating such a fun and engaging experience and for making history so much fun! ❀️

What a fantastic way to begin Public Education Week!

We were proud to host our Snowy Mountains Small Schools Collective, welcoming students from Adaminaby Public School, Berridale Public School, Bredbo Public School, Delegate Public School, Michelago Public School and Nimmitabel Public School for an inspiring day of STEAM learning.

Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in a range of exciting hands-on experiences. They explored our galaxy in the planetarium, created electrical circuits using play dough, launched rockets, viewed the skies through telescopes, tackled an engineering challenge, investigated geological and environmental science, and developed their coding skills with robotics.

It was wonderful to see students from across our small schools collaborating, problem-solving and discovering together while developing their curiosity and passion for science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.

A sincere thank you to our incredible community partners, Snowy Hydro, the University of Canberra and the Australian National University, for sharing their expertise and helping to create such engaging, hands-on learning experiences for our students. We also extend our appreciation to all the staff whose time and efforts made this memorable day possible.

Together, these partnerships showcase the strength of public education and the amazing opportunities that can be created when schools, universities and industry work together.

Our students had a wonderful time at yesterday's Ski School session. With the sun shining brightly and plenty of snow on the ground, it was the perfect day for learning new skills, building confidence and having lots of fun with friends.

We're sure our students are already counting down the days until next week's session!

πŸŽ‰ 100 Days of Kindergarten! πŸŽ‰

Yesterday, our Kindergarten students celebrated a very special milestone – 100 days of school!

To mark the occasion, students came dressed as their future selves, and we loved seeing the wonderful variety of aspirations on display. From caring vets to simply imagining themselves growing old, the creativity, imagination and excitement were fantastic to see.

It has been a joy watching our Kindergarten students learn, grow and flourish over their first 100 days. We are so proud of everything they have achieved so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds for each and every one of them! πŸ’™βœ¨
