Congratulations to Alanah and Angelina on being finalists in the 2025 Riverland and Mallee Vocational Awards. Either of these ladies would have been worthy winners. A special congratulations to Angelina on winning the School-based apprentice of the year award! Shout out to their chefs and host employers for their dedication to training the next generation of Riverland chefs!

Never ceases to amaze me how many variations of food presentation our students come up with! The brief, 1 serve lemon mousse filled meringue sphere, raspberry coulis, lemon curd, blueberry sorbet and 1 serve of passionfruit bavarois, coulis, tempered chocolate and tuille.

GREAT NEWS! Tafesa Berri has secured funding for 12 places in a "BASIC SKILLS FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY" course starting 28th April. Delivered every Monday for 14 weeks, this introductory course covers professional knife skills and cookery techniques, kitchen safety and FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR certification.
This nationally recognised training is ideal for those looking to gain employment in a commercial kitchen, for volunteers at their local club / meals on wheels, potential apprentices, as well as those who want to test whether a career in cookery is for them.
