🌠 Participant Spotlight Testimonial 🌠

Sam Mitchell Training’s next participant spotlight testimonial is Gym manager, Firefighter with the Metropolitan Fire Service and Berri Football & Cricket Club A Grade player Brad Rosenzweig.

I really enjoyed doing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid through Sam Mitchell Training.

Sam created a relaxed, comfortable & interactive environment throughout the course which made it easy to learn.

📚 I found the training to be very informative and gained a lot of knowledge around the mental health space and confident to be able reach out, identify warning signs and give the rights supports and advice to anyone experiencing mental health challenges.

👏🏾 Thanks again Sam for having me and putting on a great course.

🙌🏾 Sam Mitchell Training appreciates & thanks Brad for taking the time, energy and effort to complete Participant Spotlight Testimonials and being so open and honest with your testimonial.

👏🏾 Thank you to Our Town Berri for funding Brad spot to participate in the training, your support for community members to access the training is greatly appreciated 🙌🏾🖤💛❤️🔥

🌠 Participant Spotlight Testimonial 🌠

Both Sheila & Crystal both work at Pangula Mannamurna Aboriginal Cooperation in Mount Gambier and travelled up for the two day training.

They both have provided their own individual testimonials with some questions from Sam Mitchell Training.

🌠 Sheila Dunne - Playgroup & Parenting Coordinator.

Q. How you found the training?
The training was well thought out, I enjoyed on how it was delivered.

Q. How the training will help you with your work role/ family and community
Feeling more confident in how I already work with community.

Q. The training from a personal perspective.
It made me look back on my own mental health and feel thankful I have the right supports around me, but to also help others who may be struggling.

Q. One word to describe the training.
I don’t have just one word, Culturally Safe

🌠 Crystal Masters - Community Connections Project Officer.

Travelling up to the Riverland for Aboriginal Mental Health Training was a great experience and I would recommend anyone working in the field to take the time to complete this.

As an Aboriginal woman with lived experiences relevant to the topics covered in the course content, I found it was delivered sensitively and with emotional safety kept in mind.

Learning how to approach mental health crisis with strategies that are trauma informed and culturally strengthening was refreshing and beneficial to add to my professional toolkit.

Reflecting on the session, I was able to take away key learnings that will improve the work I can do with our mob and wider community.

Personally, I would encourage younger people to develop these skills and participate in this training as early as you can, given the mental health issues faced today.

It’s definitely meaningful, lifesaving and a positive experience, Thank you Sam for the training, the Smoking and the tools to move forward with better outcomes for Mental health.

👏🏾 Sam Mitchell Training appreciates & thanks both Sheila & Crystal for taking the time, energy and effort to complete Participant Spotlight Testimonials and being so open and honest with your testimonials.
