💙 Father’s Day Breakfast 💙

What a wonderful morning we had celebrating our dads, grandfathers and special people at our Father’s Day Breakfast!

It was fantastic to see so many families joining us this morning and enjoying some time together before the school day began.

A very special thank you to all of the mums who helped cook and prepare the delicious breakfast — we really appreciate you giving your time to help make the morning such a success!

We wish all of our BPS dads, grandfathers and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day for Sunday!

What an incredible two-year journey! Our four talented Year 6 debaters have shown outstanding commitment, drive and passion, winning our local competition and progressing through two regional knockout rounds. On Wednesday, they faced a tough challenge against John Purchase Public School and despite putting up a fantastic fight, were unfortunately knocked out. They should be immensely proud of their achievements.

We are incredibly proud of how they have represented Berowra Public School and embraced the opportunity to challenge themselves, find their voice and grow. Congratulations!

On Monday, Stage 1 students set off on a big adventure to Sydney Zoo as part of their science learning. They had the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. The visit allowed students to observe a diverse range of animals, explore their habitats, and learn about animal life cycles. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait for our next adventure!

This week we are celebrating SASS Recognition Week, recognising the wonderful School Administrative and Support Staff who make such an important contribution to our school every day.

Today, we are shining the spotlight on our amazing School Learning Support Officers – Alyx, Katie, Lisa, Kate, Saman and Chloe 🌟

Our SLSOs provide invaluable support to students across our school, helping them to feel included, confident and successful in their learning. They work alongside teachers to support individual needs, encourage independence, build positive relationships and provide care, patience and reassurance throughout the school day.

Their kindness, flexibility and dedication make a real difference to so many of our students.

Thank you Alyx, Katie, Lisa, Kate, Saman and Chloe for the incredible support you provide each and every day. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Berowra Public School team! 💜

💜💛 SASS RECOGNITION WEEK – CELEBRATING OUR LIBRARY ASSISTANT 💛💜

As we continue celebrating SASS Recognition Week, today we are shining the spotlight on our wonderful Library Assistant, Mrs Sarah Williams.

Our library is such an important part of our school and Mrs WIlliams helps to keep it welcoming, organised and ready for our students to enjoy.

From preparing and covering books, organising resources and keeping our collection in order to helping students and staff find what they need, there is always plenty happening behind the scenes.

Thank you Mrs Williams for the care, organisation and support you bring to our library and to Berowra Public School. We truly appreciate everything you do!

This week is Literacy and Numeracy week. This year’s theme for Literacy and Numeracy week is - Every day counts, every word matters.

Learning happens everywhere. Every conversation, every question, every story and every problem solved together helps children build the literacy and numeracy skills they need for life.

Celebrate Literacy and Numeracy Week at home with a family bingo challenge. Designed for different year groups, each bingo board is filled with simple, fun activities that show how literacy and numeracy are part of everyday life. Choose the bingo board that best matches your child's year group (K–2 or 3–6) and see how many challenges you can complete together throughout the week.
