This Friday night, we open Little Beauties — our final exhibition in the Frame & Brush space. 💔💖
4:30–6pm · Opening drinks · Everyone welcome 🥂
It’s hard to put into words what this space has meant to us. Over the past three years, we’ve poured our hearts into Frame & Brush — offering framing, art supplies, classes, and exhibitions, and it’s been an absolute joy being a creative hub in this incredible community.
We’ve met extraordinary people. We’ve shown beautiful work. We’ve worked hard — sometimes too hard — to hold it all together. And we’ve felt the joy and privilege of being part of something bigger than us: a community that values creativity, connection, and care.
This town is full of extraordinary creative talent, and Little Beauties is one more shining example. Over 20 local artists have contributed to this show — and the walls will be alive with colour, thought, play, and feeling. It’s a celebration of the richness we’re lucky to have right here on our doorstep.
But the reality is: it’s become too much to sustain. The cost of living, the weight of small business, and the pull of our own art, family, and wellbeing have all brought us to a quiet, difficult truth: it’s time to let this chapter end.
This business has existed for over 17 years — and we want to honour everyone who came before us, and everyone who stood with us along the way. To the artists, customers, students, supporters, neighbours, photographers, and friends — thank you. You have been the heartbeat of this space and we are forever grateful to have shared it with you.
We’re not disappearing. James will continue framing for you, and I’ll be focusing more fully on my art practice. But this space, in this form, is coming to a close — and we want to celebrate it with you and thank you in person for being part of it!
Hoping to see you Friday evening. Let’s raise a glass to everything this space has been — and everything still to come ✨
With love,
Georgie & James
