POSITION VACANT AT BERMAGUI PRESCHOOL
DIPLOMA QUALIFIED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR

Bermagui Preschool is seeking an experienced Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis. As an Excellent-rated service, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care within a supportive and professional environment.

Position Details
• Part-Time – 4 days per week
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
• 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Commencing July 2026

About the Role...
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will work collaboratively with our team to support and deliver a high-quality, play-based educational program that promotes children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Bermagui Preschool is committed to child safety and wellbeing. The safety, rights and best interests of children are fundamental to all aspects of our practice. All staff are expected to uphold the Child Safe Standards, understand their mandatory reporting responsibilities, and actively contribute to maintaining a child-safe environment.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to child safety throughout the recruitment process. Bermagui Preschool undertakes appropriate screening and reference checks to assess each candidate's suitability to work with children.

Child Safety and Mandatory Reporting...
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
• A strong commitment to child safety and children's rights
• Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Sound understanding of mandatory reporting obligations and child protection requirements
• The ability to identify, respond to and report concerns regarding children's safety and wellbeing
• Strong active supervision practices and knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations

Essential Requirements...
• ACECQA-approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Minimum three years' experience in a licensed early childhood education and care service
• Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• National Police Check issued within the previous six months
• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Safe Sleep and Rest training
• Mandatory Child Protection training
• Genuine passion for working with children and families

In preparation for July’s filming with ABC’s Gardening Australia, roll up your sleeves and join this fun, hands-on hot composting workshop at Moodji Farm!

Together we’ll build a giant 3 cubic metre thermophilic compost pile using local materials while exploring the key ingredients for healthy, living soil. Learn how to troubleshoot smells, moisture balance and pests, while discovering the optimum temperatures needed for fast, efficient compost.
