😄 CAS staff Michael Fitzgerald and Corey Phillips were proud to represent the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at the MEEDAC Esperance Community and Employment Expo on Thursday 27 August 2026.

☀ The expo provided a valuable opportunity to yarn with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, share information about higher education, and highlight the support services available through CAS.

🥳 Strong community connections are an important part of creating meaningful pathways into education and employment. By listening, sharing knowledge and building relationships, we can help empower the next generation to take the next step towards their goals and aspirations.

🖤💛❤️ Are you curious about studying in 2027? The Centre for Aboriginal Studies is coming to Kalgoorlie on Friday 28 August for an Admissions Workshop designed to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples take the next step towards higher education.

👌 The workshop provides an entry pathway into CAS Enabling and Undergraduate courses for the 2027 intake.

😄 The Centre for Aboriginal Studies was excited to be part of the Curtin Undergraduate Courses Expo on Wednesday 19 August hosted at Level 7, TL Robertson Library!

⚡Exploring futures at the Tom Price Senior High School Careers Expo! On Wednesday 18 August, Shamone Eades and Corey Phillips represented CAS at the Tom Price Senior High School Careers Expo.

😄 The Expo provided a valuable opportunity to engage with high school students, yarn about higher education and career pathways, and showcase the opportunities available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at CAS.

👣 For many Aboriginal students, exploring university can be the first step towards turning aspirations into meaningful career opportunities. Expos such as this one enable CAS to build connections, answer questions and help students see what is possible.

🙏 A big thank you to Tom Price Senior High School for welcoming us and creating a space where students can start thinking about where their aspirations could take them.
