Congratulations to our Aerobics teams who completed in the CGSAV Aerobics competition at OLMC in Heidelberg. The newly formed "A Team" in the Senior division continued to dominate, winning the A division. In Senior B, the team performed a solid routine to take out 2nd place, and in a very large Junior B division, our 'trio' came 3rd. Our aerobics athletes did a fabulous job of supporting each other on stage, particularly when synchronising the O-L-S-H chant to the beat of the music! Well done to all involved!

Year 10 students Sophia M and Chloe A were awarded the Simon Crean Arts and Innovation Award, presented to students in the Bentleigh electorate who demonstrate excellence in the creative or performing arts, a strong connection between creativity and innovation, and engagement across multiple STEAM disciplines.

The award was established by Mr Nick Staikos MP, Member for Bentleigh, to recognise outstanding young people who combine creativity, innovation and problem-solving. Nick visited OLSH College this week to present the awards to Sophia and Chloe, acknowledging their significant contributions to the performing arts over the past four years, alongside their active involvement in STEAM subjects and co-curricular activities.

Congratulations to Sophia and Chloe on this well-deserved achievement.

We were delighted to welcome the Class of 1966 back to OLSH College this week to celebrate their 60-year reunion. The group gathered for morning tea at the OLSH Convent before enjoying a tour of the College, meeting current students and sharing stories about their school days.

It was wonderful to witness the enduring friendships and the connection to the OLSH story that continues six decades on. As they reflected on the past 60 years, it was inspiring to hear about the many directions their lives have taken and the lasting influence OLSH has had on them.

Starting secondary school is an exciting milestone.

At OLSH we make the transition a positive and confident one through a planned transition program that begins in Grade 6 with an onsite orientation day and parent information sessions, then continues throughout the first weeks of Year 7 with dedicated transition activities, camp and the support of our Big Sister–Little Sister program. Every student is welcomed, encouraged and supported as they settle into life at OLSH.

Year 7 2028 enrolments close on 14 August. Apply now and discover the opportunities, experiences and welcoming community that make an OLSH education unique.
