A huge effort from our Senior Girls Footy team competing at Regionals on Tuesday 4 August!
The girls battled through rain, wind and sunshine all in the one day, showing plenty of resilience, teamwork and determination throughout.
A great achievement to make it to Regionals and an awesome effort from the whole team. Well done, girls! ๐๐

To celebrate, our wonderful Science Department, led by Mr Tissera, have organised a week packed with fun, hands-on and educational activities!

What a night! The theatre was packed, the costumes were spooky, and the music was simply wonderful! ๐ตโจ
A huge shout-out to our 2026 Music Captains, Jasmine and Charlotte, for doing a fantastic job as MCs; Violet, for writing a captivating story that transported us into another world; and the 100+ talented students who performed so brilliantly on the night. ๐
Weโd also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing music staff, led by the talented Mr Portelli, and to our Parentsโ Associationfor their incredible dedication and support.
Last but certainly not least, thank you to our wonderful community, families and guests who came along and helped make Big Band BOOgie 2026 such a memorable and successful event. ๐

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of one of our Year 7 students, Tommy S, who represented Team Vic at the Under 12 National Carnival.
Tommy and his teammates went undefeated throughout the entire competition, ultimately taking home the championship! ๐

This week, our Unit 2 OES students completed an incredible 3-day outdoor adventure in the beautiful Grampians region of western Victoria. ๐
Throughout the camp, students challenged themselves with a range of exciting activities, including rock climbing, hiking, abseiling, and bike riding. ๐ฅพ๐ดโโ๏ธ๐ง
Beyond the adventure, students deepened their understanding of flora and fauna adaptations, sustainable outdoor environments, indicators of environmental health, and the importance of healthy outdoor environments.

Yesterday, students from Bentleigh Secondary College put their mathematical skills to the test by competing in the Australian Mathematics Competition! ๐งฎ
Students had 75 minutes to complete 30 challenging problems involving:๐ข Number skills, ๐ Geometry, โ Algebra, ๐ Statistics, ๐ฒ Probability and ๐ง Logic problem-solving
The Australian Mathematics Competition encourages students to think creatively, apply mathematical reasoning, persevere when problems become difficult and enjoy the challenge of mathematics. ๐ก
We are incredibly proud of every student who volunteered to participate and challenge themselves today. ๐
Taking part in a competition like this requires courage, concentration, determination and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. ๐
