🪡🧵 Our budding Year 8 sewers spent the end of Semester 1 completing the construction of their bags and applying a reverse appliqué technique to enhance their designs.

Students have created some impressive final products that showcase both their technical skills and creativity.

With the new semester now in full swing, we’re excited to showcase some of the impressive artworks created by our Semester One Year 10 Art students 🎨

Over the course of the term, students explored themes of culture and heritage, creating portraits of someone significant to them or self-portraits using their chosen painting medium. Through this project, they developed both their technical skills and their ability to express personal stories and connections through art 🖌️👩🏻‍🎨

Last week our VCE Chemists refined their analytical laboratory skills and spectroscopic analysis during our annual University of Melbourne Excursion with the School of Chemistry and CEA Outreach Program at Parkville 👩‍🔬🧪

With the final curtain drawn, the 2026 Bentleigh production has officially come to a close 🎭

After more than six months of rehearsals, three incredible performances, and plenty of tears last night, our cast saved their very best for last. They gave everything they had, and our community responded by filling the theatre for this special occasion.

Congratulations to all of our talented students (actors, band and crew) on a fantastic production of A Chorus Line. We are so proud of everything you achieved and can’t wait to see what next year has in store. 👀🎭✨

Today, the SRC hosted a BBQ fundraiser in support of Motor Neurone Disease research. With the sun shining and a long queue forming for sausages, the event attracted plenty of enthusiastic supporters. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Ice Bucket Challenge 🪣🧊❄️

Teachers and student volunteers alike bravely had buckets of icy water poured over their heads, entertaining the crowd while helping to raise valuable funds and awareness for an important cause. The event was a great success, bringing the school community together in support of Motor Neurone Disease research.

Thanks to all who volunteered, donated, and/or bought from the sausage sizzle!
