Our Grades 2 and 3/4 students proudly showcased their Inquiry learning on Thursday π
Grade 2 students created detailed dioramas and information reports of their chosen animals as part of their Living Things unit, while our Grade 3/4 students designed informative posters exploring countries from around the world for their Geography unit. ππ¦
The showcase was open to other classes before lunch, and in the afternoon we welcomed parents and friends to view the fantastic work on display. Well done to all students for their creativity and effort, and thank you to all who took the time to attend.

Weeks 9 & 10 Values Focus π
For the next two weeks we are focusing on Confidence in Learning Areas β showing confidence by always doing our personal best, making the most of our learning time, being positive role models for others, and using a growth mindset when facing challenges. π
Classes will be exploring what this value looks like through discussions, reflections, and by embedding it into daily learning experiences. We will also be prioritising values stickers for students who consistently demonstrate confident behaviours and a positive approach to their learning.

In Art this term, students strengthened their understanding of Geography concepts through the exploration of Australian landscapes. They selected desert scenes to paint and collage using dried natural materials, inspired by the works of renowned Australian artists Sidney Nolan, Russell Drysdale, Fred Williams and Ginger Riley. We also studied the collaged illustrations of author/illustrator Jeanie Baker.
Here are some of the students at work and some finished landscapes πΌοΈ π¨
