Earlier this afternoon, we held an evacuation drill with a slightly different scenario to our usual drills.
For today’s practice, all senior students were asked to respond as though there had been a gas leak in the Senior Unit area.
This meant our Senior Unit students were moved away from their usual area and relocated to the designated assembly point.
All students did a fantastic job of following directions, moving calmly and safely, and waiting patiently for further instructions.
Drills like this give us an important opportunity to practise our emergency procedures and help ensure everyone knows what to do if we ever need to respond to a real situation.
Well done to all of our students for the responsible and respectful way they handled today’s drill
