Elmore’s Michie Street Playspace is getting a makeover!
Last December, we invited residents from our small township communities to share ideas for the City to apply for funding through the Tiny Towns Grant Program.
We’re excited to share that Elmore’s Michie Street Playspace will be renewed thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Victorian Government’s Tiny Towns Fund and a matching contribution from the City.
The renewal of the Michie Street Playspace will include:
• A new multi-play-combination unit
• Replacement of ageing shade sails
• Refurbishment of existing play equipment
• Refurbishment of existing park furniture
• A new concrete footpath
• Landscaping works
Works are expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with completion in early 2027.

A new Local Government survey is now underway. Some community members may get a phone call asking for feedback about City of Greater Bendigo services.
The survey runs until March 2027. It will help us better understand what’s working well and where we can improve our service delivery.
Please be assured your details and individual responses are confidential. Only the overall results will be shared with the City.
This is a Victorian Government initiative delivered by an independent market research agency (National Field Services) on behalf of all Victorian councils.
