With 363,000 new health workers needed by 2035, stories like Nicole's show how Bendigo TAFE is helping build that pipeline Victoria depends on.
After caring for her parents, Nicole returned to study a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) through Free TAFE - building the skills and confidence to step into her first healthcare role at a local hospital.
Now, she's on the path to nursing.
Nicole's journey reflects a broader trend. The latest Employment Outcomes Survey for Victorian TAFE Learners report shows that 9 in 10 students gain a job or promotion because of their training, with regional learners achieving some of the strongest results.
This is regional capability in action - locals training locally to meet the workforce needs of their own communities.

We had some special visitors at our Charleston Road campus today. A few TAFE fans stopped by our new clean energy lab and trades workshops to see our students and teachers in action!
