Such a lovely filly. My daughter is so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such a smart girl. Cant wait to see how she grows and matures.

Dry dry dry and baron but it means the horses are super happy to see us twice a day for their feeds. Lots of different piles, hard feeds and a round bale of good barley straw for roughage has meant they are not looking terrible (certainly not show condition though!).

Facebook keeps reminding me I havent posted on here for a while. Truth is it has been a crazy year. It is dry as a bone here and we are having to buy in water. Here are a few pics of our "big" dam I took today when I was attending to the pump with my helper. On a side note: I am thinking of selling some leather earrings to help subsidise hay and water (I am wearing a prototype).

A lot has happened since I last posted. Most excitingly we have a coloured 3/4 Clydesdale foal who is now three and a half weeks old. I’d like to introduce “Louvale Holly” and she is an absolute gem!! We almost lost her mother Eliza after she became really unwell with a rare condition called post partum ileus (where basically the gut stops functioning). The wonderful vets at the Bendigo Equine Hospital were able to save her (and I think I’m going to sell some things to try pay their bill as promptly as I can!). I have also had some other bad luck, having a bad accident off my horse which required a night in hospital and resulted in a broken rib and other serious muscular injury to my neck. Im feeling much better and Holly and Eliza are doing magnificently! (Photos of earrings are some prototypes I’ve been working on- leather earrings and I’d love your opinion!). Bring on 2018!!

Lately I have been giving some long reining lessons (to both people and horses). It is amazing how this builds confidence and it is something almost anyone (horsie and non horsie) can do.
