Last Tuesday, VCC students travelled to St Arnaud to compete against some of the region's strongest runners at the Loddon Mallee Regional Cross Country Championships.

Despite chilly conditions and challenging courses, our athletes gave their all across the 2km, 3km and 5km events, achieving outstanding results.

Ten athletes qualified in their respective age group for the State Cross Country Championships next term:
Bella Johnston (1st), Olivia Johnston (2nd), Jenna Gaskell (2nd), Jed Willis (3rd), Pippa Coleman, Charlotte Hensley, Willow Jongebloed, Olivia McKenzie, Samantha McKimmie, and Annie Rowe.

Congratulations to each and every student who represented VCC with determination and resilience! And a special mention to our 15-Year-Old Girls team - Annie, Samantha, Willow and Olivia - who were crowned Regional Team Champions. 🏃🏼‍♀️🥇

The Primary Music room at our Strathdale campus was overflowing this week for the second round of Victory's Got Talent Primary.🎵🎶

Students from Years 3, 5 and 6 performed a wonderful collection of songs for their peers. Well done to Lumina, Isla, Mac and Isaac on their brave and impressive performances.

Our Epsom Campus received an exciting visit from Richmond AFLW players Maddie Shevlin, Katie Brennan and Emelia Yassir yesterday. While rain may have thwarted the chance for outside activities, it didn't dampen the excitement indoors!

Year 4-7 had the opportunity to ask their own questions about life in the AFLW, exercise and fitness, diet and even childhood. Our students gained valuable insight into the dedication, resilience and work it takes to succeed at the highest level of sport. The visit also included a special time of autograph signing, giving students the opportunity to take home a memory from the day.

Thank you to Maddie, Katie and Emelia for sharing their stories and inspiring our students to pursue their goals with passion and perseverance.

Students and staff embraced German Week with energy and enthusiasm last week, celebrating German culture, language and heritage. 🇩🇪

From fun filled lunch time activities and incursions to scrumptious German food and themed German dances, our College enjoyed a colourful week of cultural learning and new experiences across both campuses.

Danke to everyone who participated and made the week a memorable one!

Earlier this month, VCC had an incredible 12 students participate in the Junior Country Championships for Hockey. Congratulations to….

Matilda Sharp, Georgia Vance and Maggie Hensley who brought home Gold in U14 Girls.
Ned Symes, Xander Janse Van Rensburg, Liam Sourgen and Jude Sourgen who came home with a hard fought Silver in U14 Boys.
Lila Hensley who represented in U16 Girls, coming 5th.
Michael Driscoll as goalkeeper in U16 Boys, coming 3rd.
Charlotte Hensley, Pippa Symes and Meika Symes who represented in U18 girls, coming a respectable 3rd.

Most of our Hockey cohort now turn their focus to represent at the State Junior Championships in July and September. We wish them all the best!!
