Important Traffic Update – Friday Morning

This morning there has been a small fire at St Kilian’s Church. Thankfully, the church itself is okay; however, the sacristy has sustained significant damage.

Emergency services are currently on site, and as a result, a number of roads surrounding the school are closed or affected.

The only access to St Kilian’s this morning is via Havelock Street, approaching from Arnold Street or Baxter Street. A map is provided below. Red roads are closed or affected roads, and green are clear and good to go!

Please allow extra travel time for drop-off and follow any directions from emergency services. We appreciate your patience and understanding as they work to make the area safe.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our parish community, and we are grateful for the swift response of our emergency services.

🚗 Parking & Pick-Up Reminder – Wednesday to Friday

This week, our parish and school community look forward to celebrating the Installation of our new Bishop. This is a significant occasion in the life of our Diocese of Sandhurst, and we are excited to welcome our new Bishop.

To prepare for the celebrations, the parish grounds will be set up from Wednesday, meaning the parish car park will be unavailable from Wednesday until Friday.

Our McCrae Street and Havelock Street gates will remain open for student drop-off and pick-up as normal.

To help ease congestion, families are warmly invited to collect their children from 2:15 pm onwards, if they are able. We will also have additional staff on duty at the Havelock Street gate, Baxter Street crossing and McCrae Street gate to help ensure a safe and smooth dismissal.

A reminder that Thursday, 30 July, is a Pupil-Free Day, so students will not be attending school.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility and support as we prepare to celebrate this special moment in the life of our parish, school and diocesan community.
