Welcome Jay Jozaei! Jay is a social scientist with 20 years of experience working on climate and environmental issues. He holds a PhD in Environmental Studies and recently completed research on climate reporting and the TCFD framework in New Zealand and Australia. We're excited to have him join the Department of Social Inquiry at La Trobe!

Welcome Ana Lara Heyns! Ana is a Mexican Mestiza activist and researcher with a background in anthropology and a PhD in Architecture and Urban Studies from Monash. Her work explores water infrastructure, cultural memory, and Indigenous water knowledges. She joins us from the ARC project Repairing Memory and Place, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to La Trobe’s Climate Change Adaptation Lab!

Welcome to Magnus Moglia, a systems scientist focused on sustainability and climate change. Magnus has worked on water management, climate adaptation, and urban futures across Australia, Vietnam, and the Pacific. He recently led research on nature-based solutions and remote work at Swinburne and co-edited Future Cities Making. Great to have you with us, Magnus!

Tuesday 1st April, 11.20-1pm: On Fieldwork is a monthly seminar for HDRs dedicated to exploring issues related to fieldwork, sharing knowledge, and presenting fieldwork based research. Our first session will take place on Tuesday April 1 from 11:30-1:00pm (directly after the HUSS HDR morning tea. Susannah Ostojic will be presenting: The Eye of the Water: Taro, Gender, and Personhood in Maewo, Vanuatu.
