✨ Ideas brought to life!

The Passions & Pathways Expo at the Bendigo Library last Friday was a chance for our students to come together one final time and present the projects they’ve been working on with local businesses across the term.

All term, they’ve been peeking into the world of work, exploring ideas, asking questions and getting a glimpse of what different industries have to offer.

The Expo was a day to share their work, celebrate what they’ve achieved and connect with other students.

A huge thank you to all of the local businesses who have generously shared their time, knowledge and enthusiasm with our students throughout the program. By opening their doors and sharing what they do, they’ve helped students make real connections, discover new possibilities and see where their own interests might take them.

We’re so proud of what our students have achieved. 🌟

A big thank you to Felicity from The Gilded Table for sharing her expertise with these students, and helping them understand how ideas can be developed into products that create value for others.

This is a wonderful example of the many local businesses and community members who generously invest their time and knowledge in young people, the future local workforce.

Another big thank you to the local businesses and organisations that welcomed students as part of Passions & Pathways Roadshow on August 20.

By providing students with a behind-the-scenes look at your workplaces, you're helping them discover the many career possibilities available locally.

We appreciate your generosity and commitment to supporting young people as they explore their futures.

A big thank you to even more local businesses and organisations that welcomed students during last week's Passions & Pathways Roadshow.

Giving students the opportunity to see local workplaces in action helps them better understand the range of careers available in our region and the pathways that can lead there.

We're grateful for your support in helping young people explore their future.

P&P Roadshow 2026

The volunteer workforce is an important part of both our community and economy. In Victoria alone, volunteers contribute more than 732 million hours each year, helping organisations, events and communities thrive.

Thank you Bendigo Theatre Company for opening students' eyes to the many opportunities volunteering offers and the vital role volunteers play in bringing the arts to life.

✨ Today was a great day of learning, exploring and imagining what's possible for these students. We love seeing students discover careers they may never have previously considered. ✨

Across term three, Passions & Pathways students work on an entrepreneurial project where they identify a real-world issue and explore ways to solve it.

Students from Kangaroo Flat Primary School are investigating how technology affects our bodies, with a particular focus on a condition known as Tech Neck.

On Monday, the students had the opportunity to learn from Grant from The Osteo Team, who shared his expertise on the physical impacts of prolonged technology use. Grant helped students understand how 'forward head carriage' leads to poor posture that can affect our health. He demonstrated some stretching techniques and how to maintain good posture when using devices.

We are incredibly grateful to Grant for giving his time to inspire our P&P students as they work towards developing solutions to this important issue.

👏 Thank you, Grant and The Osteo Team, for helping inspire our next generation of problem-solvers!

Meet some of the faces helping inspire the next generation. 🌟

Each of the Passions & Pathways primary schools has been visited by at least two Young Industry Ambassadors. They've shared their career stories and given students valuable insights into the world of work.

By talking openly about their journeys, including the twists, turns and unexpected opportunities along the way, they are helping young people understand that there are many different pathways into happy, successful employment, and sometimes even self-employment.

Thank you to all our ambassadors and the incredible businesses that support this initiative (tagged in coments).

If your business has a potential Young Industry Ambassador, we'd love to meet them for next year's program!
