Our little ones grow, learn and change so quickly, especially throughout their first year earthside. As they develop, their sleep needs naturally shift too.

To help you navigate this stage, I’ve put together a quick mini guide showing age-appropriate sleep expectations for around 4 months.

✨ SWIPE to learn more.

If you’d like more detailed guidance on age-appropriate routines, including nap timings and durations, my Routine Guides are a great next step. You can find them via the link in my bio.

Here’s a sample schedule for a 14 month old to give you an idea of how naps and bedtime could look.

Remember: every little one is different. Awake windows, nap lengths, and bedtime may vary, use this as a guide, not a rulebook!

Consistency matters more than perfection. Slight adjustments to suit your family are ok!

If you’re unsure how to tweak a schedule to suit your little one’s unique needs, a 15 minute Routine Check Call can help. Send me a message to book.

When this beautiful mum reached out, her 7 month old was unsettled for hours and waking multiple times a night.

They were co-sleeping just to get some rest.
Day naps were inconsistent.
With a 2 year old as well, she felt completely trapped at home and exhausted.

Together, we created a personalised plan that worked around their toddler’s schedule, their parenting style, and their lifestyle.

During our time together:
• Day naps became consistent
• The dummy was removed (parents choice)
• Night wakings reduced to just one
• He learned to self-settle independently

But the biggest shift?
Confidence.

Confidence to leave the house.
Confidence to handle off-days.
Confidence in knowing what to do when sleep shifts.

Support isn’t just about better nights, it’s about helping you feel calm and capable again 🫶🏻

If this feels familiar, my Dreamy Support Package provides families with guidance, practical strategies, and encouragement so you don’t have to navigate sleep challenges alone. Send me a message to see if this package is the right fit for your family, or tap the link in my bio to book a free discovery call.

If your little one is feeding constantly overnight but barely interested during the day, you may be experiencing reverse cycling.

It’s common.
It’s fixable.
And it doesn’t mean you need to keep surviving on broken, disrupted nights.

The goal isn’t to remove night feeds quickly.
It’s to gently and gradually help your little one shift calories back into the daytime in a way that feels supportive and appropriate for their age.

Nights don’t have to stay this exhausting.
Reach out if you’d like support 🫶🏻

Thinking about moving your little one from a cot to a big bed? It’s an exciting milestone.. BUT timing is everything.

Most toddlers aren’t developmentally ready until 2.5–3 years, because younger little ones lack the impulse control to stay in bed.
Exceptions are safety concerns, like climbing out of the cot - then adjustments like a sleeping bag (putting it on backwards if your toddler can remove it themselves) or lowering the mattress closer to the floor can help deter climbing before making the move too early.

Before the transition, consider:
• Nap consistency; the freedom of a toddler bed can make naps harder due to distractions or climbing in and out.
• Avoid other big changes at the same time (potty training, starting daycare, welcoming a new sibling).
• Talk through bedtime rules and involve your toddler in the process.
• Make their room safe and secure.
• Introduce a toddler clock if appropriate.

Some sleep disruption is normal at first, but consistency and patience are key. Most toddlers adjust quickly.

Not every family is looking for a full sleep package or ongoing 1:1 support.

Sometimes you just need to talk through a specific area that’s feeling tricky.

Maybe you’re tired of second-guessing everything.
Maybe it’s…

Sleep regressions.
Early rising.
Catnapping.
Nap transitions.
Bedtime battles.

The Sleepytime Call is a focused 1:1 session designed to give you reassurance and direction around that particular challenge.

We’ll review what’s happening, look at the full picture, and create clear, practical next steps tailored to your little one.

If you’re feeling stuck, this might be exactly the reset you need right now 🫶🏻

Sleep can feel frustrating because it’s rarely just one simple issue.

A short nap might not just be about naps.
Night wakes might not just be about feeds.
Early mornings might not just be about bedtime.

There are many layers to sleep.

And when families feel stuck, it’s often because one small piece of the puzzle hasn’t quite aligned yet.

Sometimes having an extra pair of eyes on your routine and looking at the full picture can make all the difference.

I review your little one’s sleep environment, routines, feeding patterns, awake windows, connection, movement, settling support… and how they all interact together.

If you’re feeling stuck or sleep feels overwhelming right now, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I’d love to help you piece it together 💛
