Today's 9 Easy Bushwalkers, led by Angela and Bev, met in Reef Hills, for 2 lovely walks along bush tracks. The first walk (approx 5 kms) began along Tower Road and Wattle roads, cutting through small bush tracks to the Picnic Shelter for lunch. The shorter afternoon walk, of around 2-3 kms, began on Baines road, then turned off onto a pretty bush track that wound through the trees. Along the way, we stopped to peer down a few of the many mine shafts and found rusted car and machinery parts. There were many Wildflowers still to be found beside the tracks, the most widespread of which were the swathes of purple vanilla lillies. We all agreed it had been a lovely day's outing in nearby Reef Hills.

On this morning at 10 am in the Auditorium at the Benalla Seniors and Community Centre! This free, informative session will discuss fire threats inside and outside the home, the importance of being prepared, and understanding your capacity to respond in an emergency. The CFA will also provide information about smoke alarms and offer a free follow-up home visit to inspect your smoke alarm. Refreshments will be provided.
This is a great opportunity to learn practical ways to keep yourself, your family, and your home safe, get your smoke alarm checked, ask questions of CFA representatives, and gain confidence in preparing for emergencies before they happen. If you know of anyone who may need assistance checking their smoke alarms, please encourage them to attend. This is a valuable opportunity to receive expert advice from the CFA and arrange a free smoke alarm check for added peace of mind.

Benalla U3A Ukes4fun were at the Devenish Markets on Sunday 4th Oct 26 to perform a few numbers. They had a great time and had a few people watching and joining in. Video is on youtube channel so follow the link below.
