Over the last two days we have joined Black Mountain Public School to celebrate NAIDOC. We planted, pained and explored Mother of Ducks Lagoon.

What an amazing 3 days at Lake Keepit! 🌞🛶
We packed in canoeing, awesome team initiatives, a crazy mud run, waterslide fun, BMX rides, and archery challenges. So many laughs, memories, and new friendships made!
Already looking forward to our next adventure—Lake Keepit never disappoints! 🚵‍♂️🏹💦

📚🎉 Book Week & Transition Celebration! 🎉📚

Today, Ms Trunchbull and her students had a fantastic time celebrating Book Week and our first 2025 Kindergarten Transition!

We explored some of the exciting 2025 Book of the Year Award winners by completing fun activities inspired by the stories. Students also dressed up as their favourite book characters – what a colourful and creative day! 📖✨

It was wonderful to welcome our future kindies and share a love of reading and learning with them. Here’s to many more adventures ahead! 🏫💫

Ben Lomond Public School, Chandler Public School, and Black Mountain Public School came together to celebrate the incredible achievements and excellence of NSW public schools at the Highland Fling. Two of our students received Education Week awards for their contributions to the school, and two students won awards in the public speaking competition: one received a highly commended, and another student spoke so well that he received runner-up in Stage 2. In addition to the Highland Fling, we had open classrooms, a parents' morning tea, and a morning tea provided by a generous community member.
