Yanginanook is a small non-denominational Christian K-10 School located in Belrose on Sydney's Northern Beaches. For 40 years, Yanginanook has successfully educated students with remarkable results. Congratulations to Kim Mukuka OAM Recipient! 🎉

We are so proud to celebrate Kim Mukuka, founder of Zambia’s Child and a key member of our Yanginanook School community, who has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her selfless service.

Kim’s heart for children is evident in everything she does, from her work in Zambia where she empowers students through education and community development, to her daily care at Yanginanook School, where she serves fulltime as both teacher and Operations Manager. Both organisations are built on the belief that every child is a gift from God and has an important path to follow in life.

As we celebrate World Well-being Week, it is a perfect reminder of the impact one person can make when driven by love, purpose and faith.

On top of our classroom learning adventures, we have loved designing and creating soccer goals from scratch, whipping up cheesecakes, scones and cakes……and today we all started surfing lessons 🏄‍♂️

Our Primary School has been learning about Natural Disasters!

This topic has led to great scientific experiments! Our students built their own volcanoes, before using science to cause an eruption 👩🏻‍🔬🌋

Our students also ventured to the Quarantine Station where they explored how we used to deal with global spreading of infectious diseases 🐀😷

Volunteer Day at Yanginanook! We had 3 different excursions!

Our Years K-2 visited the lovely residents at Connie Falls at RSL LifeCare, where they got to draw, play games and read stories with the residents.

Our Years 3-8 visited Our Big Kitchen, where they learnt about their mission and helped prepare meals that would be distributed to disadvantaged Australians.

Our Years 9-10 visited the The Rev Bill Crews Foundation, where they helped prepare meals that would be served to those in need.

Our students and staff had a great time visiting these organisations and learning about the importance of giving back to the community.
