Belmore Boys is an innovative high school which focuses on education as the primary tool to enable boys as young men, to confidently enter the community and assume roles as active contributors. We believe that boys achieve their full potential when they build positive relationships with each other and their teachers. We believe students thrive when expectations are high; when technology is an inte

gral part of the learning environment and when the learning environment is underpinned by quality teaching. This program produces teaching and learning which is conducive to high academic achievement and the development of key social skills. The success of our program of school improvement is evidenced by HSC results which on average lead to 35% of students gaining university entrance. To meet the needs of our academically gifted students we offer enrichment classes in each academic year and a weekly extension class for a small number of our most able students.

Last night, students from Years 10 and 11 attended the National Poetry Month Gala at the State Library of NSW.
They listened to poetry readings from a lineup of published contemporary poets, heard a performance from Grammy-nominated Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal and represented BBHS and public education with pride.
