We collect a training levy from jobs over $20,000 in WA, and use these funds to reduce the cost of training a diverse, job-ready workforce and educate the next generation about the exciting roles and opportunities in the construction industry. We’re funding training and building skills in a variety of ways. For employers, we provide incentives and grants to reduce the cost of training apprentices
and trainees. Our rebates cover up to 80% of the cost of training for eligible apprentices, with additional supplements available for employing someone who has completed a pre-apprenticeship, is regional, female, indigenous and/or mature aged. For employees, we provide funding for those wishing to upskill or undertake a short course to further their career prospects and future-proof their job. Whether you’re an apprentice or trainee, already working in the industry or own a construction business, we can help offset your training costs with upskill funding. We also support the next generation of WA’s construction workforce through our ‘Construction Futures’ programs. These programs are designed to educate school aged people about the exciting opportunities in the WA construction industry. We provide resources to learn about careers in the construction industry in both a school environment, and at our fully interactive Construction Futures Centre located at our Belmont headquarters. We also run a ‘Try-A-Trade’ program giving school-aged people hands-on experience in trades. Additional support is also provided through the CTF Scholarship Program, which is a scholarship program suitable for students in year 11 and 12 to gain their pre-apprenticeship.
