Last Wednesday we had a special visit from Ziggy and Oaklie's Dad, Andrew with his Police Rescue truck. The children looked at all the equipment, got to sit in the front seat and saw the lights flashing. What a valuable job the Police Rescue do for our community!

Last Thursday the Kangaroos and some Emus boarded the bus and took it all the way to Glenrock Lagoon! It was so exciting talking about all the landmarks and community places we could see on the way.
When we got to Glenrock we met Uncle Amos and he guided us through the track, talking about different trees and plants that are used for many different things such as bush tucker, medicine, cleaning, chewing gum etc. We spotted a water dragon and several brush turkeys along the way and heard the calls of the whip bird.
As we ventured along the bridge, we came to the trickle creek called Flaggy Creek, where we sat to eat a snack, have a drink and venture down to the rocks to look for fish and have a photo together. This was such an amazing adventure and a wonderful place to connect with Indigenous culture and nature.
