Early mornings. Fresh grass. Cones out. Balls ready. ⚽️💜
Community coaching with Perth Glory FC is about more than football — it’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and giving young players a place to belong.
Before the city fully wakes up, coaches and players are already out here putting in the work, learning new skills, sharing laughs, and growing their love for the game.
These sessions aren’t just about developing footballers… they’re about developing people. 💪
Grateful to be part of a club that continues to invest in the local community and inspire the next generation every single week. 🌅⚽️

Mid-game. A player ran over to me.
“Can I try the rainbow flick?”
I said yes.
He received the ball on the right wing, executed it perfectly, cut inside past the centre-back, and curled it into the top corner — one of the most remarkable goals I’ve ever seen.
I still think about what would have happened if I’d said no.
Not just the goal. But what it would have done to his confidence, his willingness to try again, his relationship with risk.
Coaching isn’t just structure and drills.
It’s creating the space for moments like that to exist.
That story — and the framework that makes it possible — is in my Ball Mastery coaching guide. 🔗 Link in bio.

Most coaches stop at dribbling. Here’s what you’re missing 👇
The Coerver model — used by Ajax, Barcelona, Real Madrid and 80% of professional academies worldwide — breaks Ball Mastery into 6 core components.
Most coaches only teach the first two.
01 → Dribbling — control the ball under pressure while moving
02 → Ball manipulation — both feet, all surfaces, close control
03 → Turns & direction change — Cruyff, drag-back, roll-over
04 → Feints & fakes — deception + technique + 1v1 confidence
05 → Combination play — individual skill connected to team patterns
06 → Progressive challenge — repetition that builds genuine instinct
The difference between a player who performs in training and one who performs in a game? Components 4, 5 and 6.
