VOTE FOR BIG COL SCOTTS as the 2026 Westfield Bondi Junction Local Hero

Colin Scotts ('81) is the co-founder of Brain 4 Life, raising awareness of the progressive and degenerative brain disease CTE, which is associated with repeated head injuries. He is driven by his own experience – he was diagnosed with cognitive decline after a career in contact sports – and advocates for brain health education, research and injury prevention.

If Colin is successful, Westfield will award $30,000 in grants to Brain 4 Life that will be dedicated to improving access to specialised health services, increasing community awareness of CTE, and implementing science-backed preventative measures.

Head Coach Tim Hamill ('95) led the Aussie Sharks Men’s Water Polo Team to an historic victory against World Champions Spain to progress to the semi-final of the World Cup in Sydney.

23-21 with a penalty shootout victory after clenching the tie-breaker on the buzzer.

Australia will play Hungary on Saturday 6:30pm at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

Assistant Coach is our very own Vedran Cirkovic and former Scots water polo coaches Marcus Berehulak and Milos Maksinovic starred in the victory.

Well done to Tim and the boys! Good luck on Saturday.

🎥 Scots' Pool Project Update — with 4x Olympian Thomas Whalan! 🏊‍♂️💧

4x Olympian Thomas Whalan ('98) stepped in front of the camera at the construction site to spread the good word on our pool's progress! 📹✨

Right now, the new pool is holding roughly 1.65 million litres of water while structural leak testing and monitoring take place.💧

The best news? The project remains on time and on budget! ⏱️📈

🗓️ Here is a quick look at what’s coming up next:

Late July: Draining the pool to complete civil and stormwater connections, followed by backfilling around the shell.

August: A one-month drying phase for the structure.

September: Waterproofing and tiling begin! Named custom tiles will be made available to Old Boys in the coming weeks.

It’s exciting to watch this world-class facility take shape. Stay tuned for more progress as we dive closer to the finish line! 🏊‍♂️
