Happy Father’s Day 💚

Today, we celebrate not only all of our wonderful fathers, but also all of the very special people who step into fatherly roles, step up and lead by example.

From all of us here at Green Leaves, we thank each and every one of you! 🌿

As a Centre Director, one of the greatest privileges of my role is witnessing the dedication, care, and passion our Educators bring to our service each day.

Behind every learning experience, every comforting cuddle, every moment of encouragement, and every celebration of a child's achievement is an Educator who genuinely cares about making a difference.

Our team works tirelessly to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. The impact they have extends far beyond their learning environment here at the service, helping to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

This week, on Early Childhood Educators Day, we say thank you to our incredible team. Your commitment to children, families, and one another is truly appreciated, and we are so proud to celebrate you.

Happy Early Childhood Educators Day! 💚

From 22 August to 28 August, we celebrated Book Week 2026 as we shared in the magic of books, stories, and imagination, inspiring a lifetime love of reading and storytelling 📖 ✨

Celebrating this year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, our Educators and children stepped out of the pages of their favourite stories, bringing their beloved characters to life with vibrant colours and costumes.

Thank you to our families and children for getting involved 💚

We invite you to experience our magical Book Week moments from across the country 👇

During a culinary class, our Toddler children loved assisting Chef Anelle with preparing the beans for a delicious noodle dish.

They particularly enjoyed exploring the beans through their senses, helping to prepare them, and, of course, tasting them along the way! This experience encourages curiosity, independence, and a willingness to try new foods while fostering a sense of pride in contributing to our Centre community.

We love seeing the excitement and confidence that grow when children are actively involved in preparing food to share and enjoy with their friends.

What a wonderful week we have shared celebrating the joy of books, stories, and imagination!

Throughout Book Week, our children explored a variety of stories, stepped into the shoes of their favourite characters, and enjoyed engaging literacy experiences that sparked curiosity, creativity, and conversation.

From colourful costumes and storytelling adventures to book-inspired experiences and dramatic play, it was a week filled with laughter, learning, and imagination.

Reading with children helps build language, literacy, and communication skills while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

We loved seeing our children immerse themselves in stories, share their favourite books with friends, and bring characters to life through play.

A big thank you to our families and Educators for helping make Book Week 2026 such a special celebration.

Together, we continue to nurture a love of reading and storytelling that will support children throughout their learning journey.

During Science Week, our Toddler room children explored what happens when oil, water, and food colouring are mixed together.

Everyone watched with excitement as colourful bubbles moved through the liquid, creating an effect similar to a lava lamp.

There was also lots of fascination as food colouring was added to milk, creating beautiful swirls and bursts of colour.

We observed with great curiosity how the colours spread and mixed, sparking lots of conversations, questions, and wonder.

These simple hands-on experiments provided a fun way to explore science through observation, discovery, and play 🌈🧪

A basket of everyday items can provide hours of discovery for babies and young children.

From different textures and shapes to interesting sounds and movements, each item invites children to explore using their senses.

It is amazing to see the concentration, curiosity, and wonder as they investigate the world, one little discovery at a time! 💚

How much fun is roller painting!

Not only is it messy and fun, but it also gives children the opportunity to experiment with colour, creativity, and self-expression.

As the children roll the paint across the paper, they discover how colours can mix and change, creating new shades and effects.

It also supports them to explore different marks, patterns, and textures, noticing how moving the roller in different ways produces different results.

It is made even more fun when you get to do it with your friends!
