Bellbowrie Early Education Centre

Bellbowrie Early Education Centre Welcome to Bellbowrie Early Education Centre & Pre-School, the place where we achieve great things with little people.

Bellbowrie Early Education Centre and Preschool is located a short walk from Moggill State School. Our locality makes us very convenient to families who work in the area. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of care to you, the families, as well as to the children who are within our care. Our Centre celebrates diversity, welcoming families with different cultures and backgrounds. We are comm

itted to the implementation of the National Early Years Learning Framework and operate an Emergent Curriculum. Our program is based on the individual needs of the children in our care. Our program is balanced and developmentally appropriate. It has variations, providing for a wide range of individual experiences. These experiences give the children the opportunity to make choices and take on new challenges. Our centre programs are based on the individual child, thus ensuring it does not exclude any one child. Our goal is to inspire delight, curiosity, and inquiry in the classroom. Our Centre is pleased to be operating a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program with a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. This program is aimed at preparing our pre-prep children for primary school. Our Centre implements the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and focuses on building upon children’s learning and development including literacy and numeracy skills as well as exploring the foundations of mathematics and science. We are committed to developing and building on community partnerships with local schools, Teachers and families to ensure children are being well prepared for their school years. Our Centre runs weekly Bush Kindy Sessions at the Westaway Park, Moggill. As part of our Bush Kindy Program, we learn all about the world around us and connect with nature whilst always acknowledging the traditional landowners – the Turrbal people. Children are given the chance to explore and learn new things, climbing, running and inadvertently expanding upon their gross motor skills. Exploring the plants, trees, rocks and water creates spontaneous conversation, interactions and valuable risk-taking opportunities. The sessions are unstructured and initiated by the children, to inspire problem solving and promote self-confidence. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab. From this belief came the inspiration to open our own production kitchen, the Healthy Cooking Company. We aim to create and promote natural and wholesome food with a number of health benefits:
* Preservative Free
* No artificial flavours
* Low in sodium & refined sugar
* Naturally sweetened with honey

Today we’re celebrating “More Herbs, Less Salt Day” by highlighting the simple ingredients that bring so much flavour to the meals we prepare at Healthy Cooking Company. Our kitchens create delicious, nourishing meals with a variety of fresh herbs and aromatic spices. From fragrant basil and parsley to warming cinnamon and colourful paprika, these natural flavours help children develop a love of wholesome foods while supporting healthy eating habits from an early age. Introducing children to a wide range of herbs and spices encourages adventurous eating and shows that healthy meals can be full of flavour without relying on added salt. Herbs are also a great plant to grow in your garden, emphasizing the farm to plate approach for your family. What is your favourite herb to grow or cook with?

🌿✨ Potion Making Fun! 🧪💧
What a wonderful morning of imagination, exploration and sensory play.

Today, the children became little potion makers, creating their very own magical mixtures using water, rosemary leaves, flowers, dried leaves and pieces of bark.

The children used watering cans and measuring cups to scoop, pour and mix their ingredients, experimenting with different textures, smells, colours and quantities along the way.

It was lovely to see their creativity and curiosity shine as they worked together, shared ideas and created their own special potions.

So much learning and fun can happen through simple, open-ended play! 💚

✨ A Night of Professional Learning & Inspiration! ✨
Last night, our team came together for a very special staff meeting focused on Professional Development through The Curiosity Approach.

We were incredibly privileged to welcome Stephanie Bennett, Founder and Guest Speaker of The Curiosity Approach, who joined us all the way from the UK!

With over 40 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education, Stephanie shared her knowledge, passion and inspiration with our team, encouraging us to reflect on how we can create beautiful, curious and inspiring learning environments for children. 🧡

The Curiosity Approach encourages us to embrace wonder, curiosity, real-life experiences and natural, open-ended resources to inspire children to explore, investigate and learn through play.

A huge thank you to Stephanie for sharing your experience and passion with us. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from you and bring new ideas and inspiration back into our practice.

And a big thank you to our amazing team for continuing to learn, grow and invest in providing the very best experiences for our children.

Here’s to staying curious, continuing to learn and inspiring little minds every day! ✨ Stephanie Bennett Coaching

Our Pre Kindy Room have been spreading their wings with a wonderful reading experience! 🐦📚

After reading How the Birds Got Their Feathers, the children extended their interest in the story by creating their own artistic interpretations of the birds.

It was wonderful to see their imaginations take flight as they explored colour, patterns and creativity, bringing their favourite parts of the book to life through their paintings. We love seeing how a favourite story can inspire such meaningful learning and creativity!

📚✨ QCCS FEATURED IN THE COURIER MAIL! ✨📚

We’re thrilled to share that QCCS has been featured on Page 3 of today’s Courier Mail as part of the Book Week celebrations!

The wonderful coverage features children from Hyperdome Early Education Centre dressed as some of their favourite book characters—including Spider-Man, Elsa and even a shark!

Book Week is a fantastic opportunity for children to bring stories to life, celebrate their imaginations and discover the joy of reading through fun and engaging experiences.

Book Week fun continues across our QCCS centres, and we love seeing the creativity and enthusiasm our educators bring to these special learning experiences.

Our Lunchbox Challenge is back this year, with Healthy Cooking Company Dietitian Jim visiting our centres to help children get ready for their exciting transition to 'big school'! Through fun and interactive sessions, children will learn how to fuel their growing bodies by packing a balanced lunchbox, while building confidence and independence along the way. They'll practice opening and closing their lunchboxes, unpacking their meals and sitting with their friends to enjoy lunch together. Developing these everyday skills encourages confidence, autonomy and a positive relationship with healthy food, making the transition to school a little easier for both children and families.

🦷✨ Have you ever seen Barbie, Spider-Man AND Elsa at the dentist?! 👑🕷️❄️

Well, today we did! 😍 Our friends from Dental2you came to visit us for our 6-monthly dental check-up, and it was certainly a visit to remember!

Our little superstars were brave, had their teeth checked, and even got to meet some very special characters along the way.

A huge thank you to the Dental2U team for making dental check-ups so much fun!
