16/11/2021

4pm TODAY!!! Check this out...another great opportunity to share your voice with Burrinja Cultural Centre.

Burrinja is in the early stages to designing a project that brings the LGBTQIA+ community together through art and creativity.
We have a specific focus on younger members of the community around 16 - 25 y.o.

We invite you to have your say on what this project might look like - we want to hear your ideas, hopes, dreams, desires. Please join us for 1 hour online, where we would love to hear your thoughts.
We are working with a very talented artist, Gulsen Ozer (www.gulsenozer.com), who will be a lead facilitator of the art project we dream up.

We’d LOVE YOUR IDEAS AND THOUGHTS on how we might make something magic in 2022.

Please join us:
WEDNESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER. 4pm, via zoom.

Contact Gareth Hart (they/them) at [email protected] for the link.
*Discretion, safety and confidentiality assured!

You are welcome to INVITE A FRIEND OR PEER who would identify with this subject as well. Multiple voices welcome.
Hope to see you there!
P.S. We are committed to creating a safe and respectful culture, and we have a zero tolerance for any behaviours of homophobia, transphobia or bigotry

Teenagers taking up space in Belgrave this morning!

09/04/2021

There will be showers tomorrow but not until late morning so we should be good (but maybe bring a rain jacket in case).
We will be meeting parents, council staff and special invites at the top of the carpark between Cameo Cinema and La Collina Pizzeria at 9.30am, right next to Bookstore, so meet us there!

There will be two volunteers in hoodies to meet and guide you. Feel free to invite friends, take photos and videos.

We will be catching the 10.22am or 10.42am train to Upwey, so bring a Myki unless you are following the event by car.
The performance in Upwey will be 10:30-11.15am and we will be back in Belgrave latest 11.30am.

Thanks to Yarra Ranges Council for making this project possible and support from —
Chandler & Co Real Estate, Ferntree Print, Burrinja, Cameo Cinemas, Two Floors, Inspiro, Eastern Regional Libraries
