We're pleased to share news of a new Australian documentary that may be of interest to our community.
Lost & Found is a 70 minute feature documentary by filmmaker Roger Qureitem. Drawing on insights from First Nations wisdom traditions and Western scientific research, the film explores how altered states of consciousness and plant medicines may help us step away from destructive patterns, reconnect with ourselves, and deepen our relationship with the natural world.
The documentary features interviews with a number of Australian voices from the ethnobotanical and psychedelic communities, including several members of Entheogenesis Australis (EGA). Accompanied by the immersive music of Amani Friend (Liquid Bloom), Lost & Found invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and consider how these ancient relationships may help us navigate the challenges of our time.
The film is the first documentary release from Infinite Qreations and marks the beginning of an ongoing journey into conscious storytelling šæ

This is a talk to journey with, not rush. One to sit with and allow to bloom in its own rhythm.
Recorded for Garden States 2025, the outdoor ethnobotanical conference presented by, this deeply reflective presentation explores the long relationship between humans and psychedelic plants and fungi across evolution, ritual, colonisation, secrecy, and resurgence.
Drawing on decades of ethnobotanical learning, Kathleen Harrison honours the indigenous knowledge holders and underground carriers who helped keep these traditions alive, while inviting us to reflect on our own role in carrying this living stream of knowledge into the future.
Recorded remotely from Kathleenās living room in Occidental, California, this talk unfolds slowly and thoughtfully before ācatching the currentā and opening into a wide-ranging reflection on psychedelic species and the human quest.

Few figures have shaped ecological thinking like David Holmgren.
In 2022, Holmgren (co-originator of permaculture alongside Bill Mollison) spoke at our indoor EGA conference. Before his talk, we sat down for a wide-ranging conversation about how he got here and how his thinking has shifted over time.
Itās a loose, searching discussion. Permaculture comes through less as land use and more as a way of reading energy, economy and culture once the idea of endless growth starts to wobble. What replaces it isnāt some grand solution. More a set of limits you work within.
Thereās also a brief turn into perception and psychedelics:
āPsychedelics can interrupt the default settings of perception, opening a window onto more ecological ways of understanding our place in the world.ā

š What a new Cell study suggests about psilocybin, plasticity, and why context mattersā¦
New research is shedding light on how psychedelic compounds may reopen windows of neural plasticity, helping the brain rebuild pathways disrupted by trauma and mental illness.
Scientists sometimes describe this as the brain temporarily regaining a kind of learning flexibility normally seen in early development. During this window, entrenched pathways may soften, making it possible to form new connections and perspectives.
So what does that mean in practice? If someone takes psilocybin while feeling sad, will the drug fix the emotional state?
That is an unfortunate no; psilocybin makes active neural circuits more open to change, for better or worse, depending on what unfolds during the experience.

Across four days, our recent Garden States: Regenaration EGA gathered an extraordinary cross-section of thinkers, researchers, artists and practitioners working at the edges of ethnobotany and psychedelic inquiry.
Through presentations, workshops and immersive art, attendees stepped into something rare: a space that felt both intellectually rigorous and spiritually generous.
Part field lab, part open-air symposium, part living village, Garden States unfolded as a temporary academic and lifestyle community built on curiosity, care and shared exploration.
Even though an impossible task, we tried to gather a snapshot review reflecting on the conversations, ideas and atmosphere that made these four days so distinctive.

New reported data in a recent survey from the RAND Corporation confirms something thatās been obvious anecdotally for a while now. Psychedelics have shifted from the margins into everyday use.
According to a nationally representative U.S. survey from 2025, around 11 million adults used psilocybin in the past year. M**A follows at roughly 4.7 million, with Amanita muscaria, ketamine, and L*D each landing somewhere in the three to four million range. That alone is notable. Whatās more revealing is how these substances are being used.
Microdosing now appears to be the dominant mode. Around 10 million U.S. adults reported microdosing psychedelics such as psilocybin, L*D, or M**A. Among psilocybin users, 69 percent microdosed at least once, and nearly half of all reported psilocybin use days involved doses too small to produce a conventional psychedelic experience.
Microdosing is typically defined as sub-perceptual, not enough to induce a psychedelic state, but sufficient to subtly alter how people move through the day.
The data points toward normalization, marking a shift from earlier cultural narratives that vilified psychedelics and those who used them.
These are the first public results from RANDās 2025 Psychedelics Survey.
Psychedelic use in the past year (U.S. adults)
⢠Psilocybin: ~11 million adults reported use in the last year
⢠M**A: ~4.7 million adults
⢠Amanita muscaria mushrooms: ~3.5 million adults
⢠Ketamine: ~3.3 million adults
⢠L*D: ~3 million adults
Microdosing prevalence (U.S. adults)
⢠~10 million reported microdosing psilocybin, L*D, or M**A in 2025
⢠Among those who used psilocybin in the past year, about 69 % reported microdosing at least once
⢠Total psilocybin use days in the past year exceeded 200 million, and nearly half of those days involved microdosing
U.S. Psychedelic Use and Microdosing
An estimated 10 million U.S. adults microdosed psilocybin, L*D, or M**A in 2025. That's according to a new RAND study that draws on a first-of-its-kind survey.
