Today, the FOIM recorder and violin performers are headed to Sydney to perform in the Opera House. They have worked hard all year to get the pieces ready to go. Earlier this term, the students had the opportunity to participate in a rehearsal with a visiting conductor from the Arts Unit in Sydney, who happens to be one of the composers for the pieces the students are performing.
The students enjoyed the rehearsal and are very excited to finally showcase their hard work.

Stage 2 Rugby League Gala

Last Thursday, our Stage 2 students enjoyed a fantastic Rugby League Gala Day run by Melinda Gleeson from the NRL. Students had the opportunity to participate in either tackle or tag options, ensuring everyone could get involved, develop their skills and enjoy the afternoon. The day was fun, energetic and highly engaging, with our students demonstrating excellent sportsmanship throughout the event.

Melinda was particularly impressed with the students and staff, commenting that their “participation, leadership and sportsmanship” were something our school community should be proud of. She also praised our staff for being encouraging, positive and actively involved throughout the afternoon.

A big thank you to Melinda and the NRL staff for providing such a wonderful experience for our students, and to Kutungal for generously providing fruit and refreshments. It was a fantastic afternoon of sport, teamwork and fun!

Here’s a fantastic opportunity for local kids to get involved in cricket as part of the Baggy Blues visit to the Far South Coast!

Join us at George Griffin Oval, Bega for a FREE Come & Try Cricket Clinic, with past and present Baggy Blues players in attendance.

It’s a great chance for young players – whether they already play cricket or have never picked up a bat – to have some fun, learn some new skills and rub shoulders with some fantastic cricketers.
